Where is the blood when I get shot, or is that not allowed ?
Also some fire would be nice, from a plasma cannon naturally.
How about about bodies go flying through the air more when they get hit by an orbital strike. I would like to see teammates that forgot to duck and cover get some air. |

It's done that way to get certain ESRB ratings.
There are countries that ban the sale of games that are too Violent. The more blood, the more your customer base is restricted.
besides, they'd need to do some odd effects based on the fact that clone blood is mostly nanites.
What color IS fullerine, anyway?

Considering it only takes 1 bullet to put an enemy down after this shields and armor fail, it makes sense that you wouldn't see much blood. I mean you can make all sorts of lore excuses, but honestly blood really doesn't add much to gameplay experience but adds all sorts of rating restrictions.

I hope they don't waste time on more gore period! I actually would prefer a desintegrate to Dust anymation way more.
If you want more gore, please leave towards the next zombie shooter, we need other things way before any more realism in the gore department.
Where is my firetrail for the MD rounds by the way? It looks like the goddamn snowballlauncher now... seriously? |

They use to but they took it out because it go annoying to see when you got shot at

yes, OK maybe blood is a bad idea, but I would like to see the plasma cannon set people on fire. Right now it is being used as a one shot kill I think it should be a little different.
Plasma should sped out and create small puddles of fire for people to walk into and get it on themselves and others by bumping into each other.
It would not do that much damage because you have a super suit on to help protect you but it would be an annoyance and maybe a deterrent to help defend a objective. |

Actually if you read up a bit on the lore of the game they talk about Plasma weapons (the AR included) and how basically if anyone else fired these weapons, the spray of plasma all over the place would likely light the user on fire. However the dropsuits prevent such an effect, that's why they don't ignite when they fire the weapons or get shot by them. Now it might be fun to think about how once the dropsuit is breached, the plasma ignites the wearer and cooks the body inside the dropsuit like an oven
