i was thinking about how to fix the protostomping and wondered if something could be done with nothing. i mean doing something that wont change the game.........even though i still do not approve of the jumping beans. In theory if we got enough new players joining they would all leave the academy at the same time and reduce the chances of being proto stomped. reduce the chances of queuesyncing pubs, possibly even FW

as much as i cannot stand the guy"s videos, its not a bad idea and this is bound to fail the second anyone Google this game too. Anyone who still plays after Googling it will typically get peeved at the protostomp and then leave. The bar to join and partake in a meaningful battle is rare even for vets. For newcomers the bar is nearly impossible; sure they can die 14 times a match and after a year have a meaningful SP payout but realistically it rarely if ever happens. You can have cheerleaders white~knighting the experience saying "its for their learning curve' but when the learning curve is too high you really don't learn anything if you're dying too quickly or not surviving long enough to garner enough experience. If you die 30 times to a Gunlogi a match what exactly does this teach you? Maybe that your only option is to run or leave a match because your mines and packed grenades do **** to it. That's the problem with Dust at some level; it's a pretty narcistic gme at this point of time and even if it evolves and changes you're still in the same trap. the large influx of players is to avoid the protostomp. if there are enough players the protostomp will be less common

It is the only reason why I wouldn't wish on anyone I even remotely sympathize with the grueling nightmare that is starting to play dust after the academy. It has always been the only issue. There is no other problem.
Implementing matchmaking is fixing Dust. Not implementing matchmaking is not fixing Dust. This is the truth. Yes mate, that would make the whole game brilliant and we can enjoy it for years to come. It would totally go places and everything we do would have lasting consequences. Matchmaking would boost the ps3 capability by 1000%. Thanks for inspiring my new sig lol. matchmaking cannot happen without: 1) a large enough group of players 2) ping being taken into account first before skill

If people would read the post they might actually make intelligent replies.
My post was not to come up with was to fix the game. We all pretty much agree on the topics. My post is a question to how we get a large group of players to join. Staying is up to them, but as I said IN THE ORIGINAL POST, with a large enough number of newberries the proto would be offset. To them the protostyomping would be like running into the occasion MLG team

We've had the grand opening, I was there that day when we had almost 10k players. Slowly over time, all the potential players have come and gone and tried the game. Its done here, people are getting ps4's. 10k players out of how many millions of consoles? Pretty crap stats if you ask me

Every time a new console comes out, what happens?. There were about 7 million ps4 owners about 2 months ago, there's now over 10 million. Who in their right mind stays on a dying console, especially in a game that requires considerable time to fully enjoy? No one. All that matters now is a ps4 port so the game can grow properly. That or a PC port. Sorry if i wasnt clear with my last comment. I was just making a statement regarding the stats not arguing against the port. As far as b*tching about people not reading the post, it was not directed at you as you seem to genuinely care about the future of Dust. I was complaining about people who were mentioning specific problems about the game.
Thanks
EDIT: I thought they just hit 20mil units sold
