this has been happening for ages with dropships, and tbh its ALOT better than douchebags with RRs and LRs camping 100m away, atleast people in cover can be shot at and supressed. |

That is not really a thing. It just means you don't look around enough. Situational awareness is one of the most important things in an FPS, and if you can not be bothered to look up it is your fault. |

I am surprised it wasn't just a new piece of equipment to make us jump better. Makes more sense. Oh well, adding it was a good idea. I'll never use it though of course. Jumping too much makes you easy to kill. |

That's not really a good argument. My first thought was, "Why not, they're going to suffer for months anyway" and that's true. They are going to suffer for months regardless and grasshoppers aren't going to have much of an impact on that in either direction.

Not what I said.
One can spec into something, learn the ins&outs. Use knowledge against that "something." It is particularly useful when something is new and our have millions of SP in reserve.
Knowledge is able to be transferred to other beings.
If you cannot immediately spec (into myos), as you are new/no SP in reserve, you can seek out those who sought knowledge in the aforementioned manner, or those who simply employ myos because it is their playstyle.
Seek knowledge.

I didn't say what type I said armor tank. I did in fact try it, it's hilariously easy to run an AOE weapon and jump above your enemy and scrub them off the map.

I'm saying it's not hard to avoid a mass driver that follows the reasoning before the crazy hops. That in no matter impacts whether or not cover is useful even when unable to move
But yeah technically enemies have to move to get to you so life span of non-moving targets are much better behind cover in that sense...

Well if you were literate, you'd understand that I'm obviously suggesting that bouncy mds are easy mode. A stationary target will not move because they're stationary you idiot.
I'd believe that 2-300hp isn't too much if it were true, but it isn't. Assault suits have a minimum of 470 hp and no mod in the game reduces that, so I have no idea where 2-300 hp is coming from.

Shooting jumpers isn't a hard counter because they can just avoid fire by jumping. Not to mention they can still have a decent tank while they super jump.

I'm well aware of what jumpers do to kill me, hence the title of the thread - they get to use cover but they get to completely negate any cover that opponents have unless it's like the supply depot of the research lab socket. For small expenditures of cpu and powergrid they get to completely negate whatever positional advantages I might have carefully worked for.
And don't try pulling the 'hurr but they have low health' crap, because assaults have a minimum of 500 ehp and I've seen jumping amarr assaults with >600-800 armor still.

Armor tanking jumpers are easily scanned, use precision enhancer or adv active scanners on assault or commando suits and then be very accurate at aiming and you will mostly be fine. |

That doesn't change the fact the cover is made useless compared to myo jumps. Killing them is relatively fine, but the fact that it makes another form of aversion useless, while being a form of aversion is what makes it broken.

I think the logic has more to do with if you can't beat them join them.
I would like to point out that this seems to be a situational advantage and not really a good choice for every map but having a Myofibril on a suit or two for those ones that could benefit from additional boost when jumping to get out of tough spots could be a very good idea rather than just complaining about the meta, yes the mods seem broken in certain situations but its really just the latest fad, soon to pass or change in some way depending on how people learn to use them.
Be part of the change or not, your decision entirely.
