Assault marines can be equipped with Jump Packs; not blue gatorade that makes them jump like the aforementioned Goku on methamphetamine.

You unlike the forum trolls seem to understand that these patches are all being worked on, one at a time, so they take time to roll out or come out in small chunks. They had a bad patch, they have had these before (Remember the first Cloaking devices, geeze, my butthurt is still sore from the PCs at that time. I was logi at that time, so real butthurt because we got shotgunned and knifed so badly we made Deliverance look gentle.) It took them 2 months to fully shake that out and we got a decent piece of equipment out of the trade.
I do remember the cloaking device roll out. That was done by the old guard. Rattati and Co. was supposed to be better than this. He said he played with the fittings on a devbox. How could he have not seen these moon jumping antics in QA?
I see that the game is being iterated on, Balistyc. It's being improved on, in typical CCP fashion, slowly but surely. My concern is that CCP Rattati is no longer concerned with how his vision for the game fits into New Eden. His attitude has basically been that "Dust is different than Eve because fun is a reason" and that means he gets to discard source material as needed.
The chief reason I'm still interested in this game is because of the New Eden setting. Sure, I like the customization and the ScR gives me a chubby, but I can find similar thing in other games. I can't find a New Eden FPS anywhere else but here... and pretty soon I might not even find it here anymore

I don't believe Rattati overarching plan is to slowly lead us back to the New Eden setting after some patches. In fact, I think the goal is to distance DUST 514 from New Eden as much as possible so as to make the game more approachable and thus more profitable. Dust would probably sell better to the casual market if it were more fluffy and cuddly and "wheee look look I can jump really high mom!".
