Currently, the start of the match is unfair. People arrive on the battle field at different times.
I propose players have 15 seconds to select a suit and deploy instantly together.
This is what happens to me: I select a fitting and spawn point. The timer ticks down to 0. 5-15 secs later I finally spawn.

There's also a big hardware factor where SSDs deploy earlier (since they've loaded sooner.)
Introducing a 10-15 second delay at the beginning where each player chooses their spawn location and suit would make it more even.

Nice ideas here.
It suggests giving more time before the fight starts, for players to act like a "team" and have a chance to see (or announce) what your squad will do first, and where they will spawn first. COOL.
But, that's pretty much what CCP had WANTED us to do when this game first started. There are real advantages to having a few seconds or so to "choose and mark spots, etc"GǪ
GǪand all we players did instead, was complain that any few seconds or minutes we have to wait before the match is BS and wasted time, and having a minute to time in the warbarge to see what suit your buddy is going to use, and pick out tactical stuff is WASTING TIME---"please eliminate the warbarge lobby" and "please remove any spare time before the match--let's just go hurry up and shoot stuff!"
There are so many moments in Dust where we players just blindly overlooked great tactical opportunities, like the one you're suggesting now, and we just whined that we want to "just shoot stuff", and convinced CCP to just cancel those cool gifts they gave us in the beginning.

I wish I played in the Dust514 where the Warbarge had an interactive map and had a squad builder.

Rock on, Kaeru! That feature sounded so cool. You get to SEE the darn map you're about to drop on BEFORE you get in the match. (..It looked cool in the gameplay pictures too.)
Someday, when the smoke clears from all this vehicle and moonjumping and gun-OP yapping, we may be able to get everyone's head turned back around to the front, and restore the "team-attack" opportunities this game apparently used to have...

I truly hope so ! would love to experience that stuff. I'm too new to the game to have ever known how awesome it must've been.

Always broken, this feature was never fixed despite requests to fix it.

Solid State Drives. If you replace your hard drive with one then you'll load faster.
