i hope ur reading this garbage ccp, no matter what incentives u offer ppl they will still proto squad and defend it.
tell me why i am wrong?
Your argument is that the most clones are killed with Sharks and Goldfish. All Goldfish or all Sharks make for fun games, not slaughters and slaughters is what will win this event. The problem is that no one likes to always be a Goldfish, they either quit or become Sharks themselves, mostly they quit or quit trying. You can blame the Goldfish but it is equally valid to blame the Sharks.
If the Sharks force people to quit or hide then there is less overall killing and we have a few poor Goldfish doing all the dying.
Because, that's why.

If everyone but proto players quit, there would only be proto vs proto pub matches but i never hear people talk about that. I always hear is people saying they are always getting stomped by proto squads. and they have been getting stomped by proto squads for years but they are still here.
Yes, some people are masochists. What do you think the attrition rate is on this game? I know I've brought about 10 people into it and they all quit. I continue to play and still get continually protostomped or I am on the team stomping. That doesn't invalidate anything I wrote earlier.
Because, that's why.

Oh, and I used to try even when getting stomped. Now I know the outcome in the first minute and I'll go hide and try to be a nuisance if a stomp is coming and I'll go fly loop de loops if my team is stomping.
Because, that's why.

Exactly, the same number of people playing although there have been literally millions who have tried the game. We are not seeing an influx of new or inactive players for the event and the ones playing are reacting as always. No one wants to get stomped even harder than normal. No new players, no new dynamics, just the same old grind. I don't know what the normal number of clone deaths is but it won't be much different. If that gives us 5 million then it does but I'm not going to offer myself as fodder to the protosquads and I doubt if anyone else will either.
I honestly don't think stomping the event is much of an issue, the eveny itself is lackluster and protostomping, or lack of segregation of players, is just THE biggest issue in Dust and it effects nearly everything.
Because, that's why.
