 Weapons had the same base stats across every tier, but had weapon slots which increased by each tier and had modules (and maybe attachments) which effected its stats?
 
 Would that be better or worse than the current progression system?

 That said, I do like the idea -- kind of making weapons like suits in that they are configurable through modules.

 This isn't cod. I'm happy without weapon attachments/upgrades.
 
 However....it would be interesting to see the outcome if it was handled correctly.

 +1 Anything getting away from is he whole std adv proto is greatly needed.
