The rail rifle has instead of just being a weapon you can use changed to a single role/play style weapon. Its simple get someplace high and crouch and try to shoot some people other than that it is a useless gun to go with the useless cal assault suit.n Try using the combat rifle it has good range and great ROF it really sticks it to those mean armor suits. As for cal suits you may be doing it wrong. My proto cal assault has 406 shield, weak yes bit not if you fight from cover. I say that because with that suit the way I have it modded get 96 shield regen a second.... After 1.6 seconds.... If you don't kill me right off I'll be right back. Focus less on tank and more on regen. As with most things In Dust its situational. I run every thing in a match from amarr heavy to min scout to gal commando to cal assault. Just depends on what I happen to be trying to do at the moment. Hello? any one there?

Less QQ more PewPew

Rail rifle with a calmando and good spot can rip suits apart even with STD variant.Yesterday i had 32/2 with that combo.Take one RR(longer range assault) and ARR(close and mid range assault) and you can do some serious damage. The ARR seems like it's in a decent place. I can win most cqc fights with it while still having good range. I skilled into the cal assault just so I could wear the frames, but I actually like the suit. Fitted for shields+regen it is solid. I've long advocated for a kick/spread reduction for the cal assault applied to the RR as the suit bonus. It would allow a cal assault to fit a RR and still be viable in close quarters.

And even after the increase in kick that was added to the rr iv still been melting face with it. Most people I see moaning about any of the caldari teck have been using it incorrectly all caldari wepons and suits are most effective at longer ranged combat I.e. 50 to 80 metres in the the only exemption really being the sniper rifles . The greatest advantage of caldari teck is range as in out ranging all the other rifles bar the lazer rifle . Proud Caldari purist . Rank 10 colonel omiwarrior. I fought and bled for the State on Caldari prime.
