Glad you extended it - five million is a lot; we only made like two thirds of that last time, didn't we? and we knew what the rewards were in advance, too.

Oh come now - it takes two to tango these days. Any player screaming "SAVE ME SAVE ME" is probably a KDR-padding proto-wearing ninnie. Whatevs. They ain't having fun if KDR is what drives them. I know I am. I win coz I fun.

Some feedback for this event...

Three things went wrong with this event; requirements for the rewards, matchmaking and the rewards themselves. These three combined made this event terrible in my eyes and ultimately caused me to give up on it. I havenGÇÖt played since Friday and will not log in for the extended time either.

Requirements for the rewards

The aim of the event is to destroy clones but you make it so that we must win matches first before concentrating on the event itself. Especially for small squads and soloers it is easy to go a whole evening without a win. I know as I have witnessed it time and time again. I am constantly put up against full squads and trying to win matches when you absolutely have to is like pulling teeth. Last time the requirements for the rewards was to complete 10 matches, this was much better. When the requirement for obtaining the rewards is not something you have to worry about, people are more relaxed. People are happier to throw themselves at the enemy when they donGÇÖt have to worry about qualifying for the rewards. If you think 10 matches is too easy then make it 20 but donGÇÖt make it mandatory to win. If we need clones destroyed, why emphasize winning?

Matchmaking

As we know, we donGÇÖt have one. Team balancer might work as intended but in the end, it is not enough. Coupled with an absolute necessity to win matches, this event became a chore with the lopsided matches we have suffered with for so long. I donGÇÖt think IGÇÖve ever seen as many people leave matches in the beginning as I did during this event. I donGÇÖt blame them though, I started doing the same. After spawning in, check teams, if it looks like weGÇÖre going to lose, leave battle and queue for the next one. I hope the next time we have an event like this we have that MLT only queue. This is not CCPGÇÖs fault, but I got absolutely fed up with 6-man proto death squads mowing people down and then using needles when they happened to die. It was infuriating.

Rewards themselves

BPOGÇÖs are nice, I love them and happily take more of them but not knowing what BPO it actually is, itGÇÖs not motivating. ItGÇÖs actually the opposite. If you want me to get my teeth kicked in for 5 days straight at least tell me what for. I am not going to dedicate my time to grind endlessly for a chance to get a lackluster BPO. On top of an unknown BPO, 1000 Warbarge components is an absolute joke. Why so little? That is not enough to do anything with after you have upgraded your WB once. And then the keysGǪ I have over 1500 boxes, probably a lot more, so 20 keys is hardly worth it. DonGÇÖt get me wrong, I like keys as a reward but again, why so little? I will never run out boxes so donGÇÖt worry about that. And you may say we have had enough SP rewards in the past but so what? SP rewards for events like this make sense and SP is valuable commodity in DUST. Most people have their own goals with their SP and reaching that goal faster motivates you to participate to the bitter end.

Yes somehow its gone wrong, unbalanced matches + Train Map on hard rotation.

@ CCP Frame . Next time if possible take in consideration the timing of the event . people work , have children and some actually have lives monday-friday lol as hard as that may be for you guys to believe , its true . but great work on the time extention . i actually may pull out all the stops to kill over a 1000 in a day... 07 fun game fun times keep it real

Weird, I've only gotten the train map once.

They gave out a hint as to what the BPO might be. So people were more incentivized to play.

The maps sometimes seem to come up in a row (just a different skin), but I too have gotten more than just the train map (had to think about what map had anything train-like first).

I must admit, the train map is great for mass driver users when A is the only objective.

Last update was about 1 hour ago, as of this post.

Nova knives also tend to do exceedingly well on this map. At least for me. I went 21-15 with STD Nova Knives on my APEX Tiger.

Roughly 400k in clones destroyed since the post DT update 17 hours ago. 470k based on last update 3 hours ago.

Well, if we keep up the same pace between DT and the last update, we should have this in the bag.
Having my son log in now and play his character's Apex suit with many and frequent horrible clone losses authorized.

I need to pay better attention to who nova knifes me... I am wondering if that was you back stabbing me while trying to hack A a few times.

All things considered: "every player that won at least three battles during the event period" means during the last few days, you needed to simply win 3 battles. It is more challenging to win against well organized teams as a soloist and it does not help when your team loses heart and simply stops going after the objectives. Still, my kids and I have managed to win at least 3 matches over the last few days. Hard, but not impossible... Harder if you only have time to play a couple of matches and get stuck in heartless teams.

The matchmaking for this game is a bit odd overall. Sometimes it seems I get placed on the super teams, sometimes I get placed on the under-achiever teams, and sometimes I get placed on teams that seem balanced.

The rewards were... interesting. I like the idea of a BPO. I don't like knowing if it will or will not be something worth having. I understand why Devs like surprises, but for an event requiring you to sacrifice so many clones an unknown reward is not the best way to incentivize people.
The number of warbarge components being offered is not an impressive amoun. But considering that the running of this game relies on micro-transactions of which warbarge components are valued at 3 AUR each, 1000 warbarge components equates to 3000 AUR.
Regarding the decryption keys: if you have a lot, 20 does not seem like much, if you have 37, like my daughter does on her character, its a lot. Maybe if they scaled the number based on the number of lockboxes? But then people who opened theirs or bought a bunch of keys and opened them prior to the event would complain how unfair that was. Also considering that decryptor keys are part of the micro transaction system, it is not quite a stingy reward.

I agree with this, mostly. While SP is nice, it's easy enough to get to ADV level skills in a short time, and the experience gained from earning the rest of the SP is crucial to how you play once you unlock proto gear, should they choose to use it.

I think the BPO as the main reward is great, as long as it's not something useless to 90% of the players (iirc, it's supposed to be useful to most, so that shouldn't be the case).
The WB components and Keys are just icing on the cake.

In the long run, i'd choose the BPO over 5m SP, every time.

new players need the SP i barely touch the game cause I can't kill anyone and I would love to
play this game more but i cant get into a match without going negative constantly and it gets
depressing. (at least make it so from the start new players have 2 mil SP so that they can form
their character from that and not be outclassed by everyone(1st Character/Recruit)
