Sitting on 300+ million that's all come exclusively through public matches and the old FW matches. Were it not for my indulgence of running tanks, I'd never lose money in a match. My most expensive fitting (that I actually use) is a 46k Gallente Assault suit with advanced extenders, rep tool and AR, standard SMG and flux grenade, and complex Reactive/Ferroscale plates. I'll use it until I die twice; after that, it's either my standard assault fit for less than 13k or a standard sentinel at under 15k. Have proto Gallente Logi, Sentinel and Scout suits unlocked and will unlock the proto Assault by the end of the week...but that's mainly for the bonuses. I can't stand the thought of going 15-3 in a 100k suit compared to 11-6 in a scrub suit!

Twitch response, especially in extreme CQC. I find it almost impossible to track targets under 10m (though Dust's narrow FoV doesn't help). Give me distance or give me death.

Honestly I'd suggest the opposite. 3rd person gives much better field of vision. Get used to switching between them as is necessary.
Plus to be honestly you never want to be having to drive your HAV to cover if you can help it since reversing is rather difficult with not invert look direction button.

I just get better picture in my mind if I can see my front...eh fenders. Driving blind backwards is easy because I know the maps. |

I suppose an exception is where to place uplinks but that comes down to knowing the
maps and experience, you don't need good hand eye coordination or the ability
to
1) Do something
2) strafe like hell while doing something
3) Look at radar while doing 1) and 2) |

It's like a switch in my brain flips from "Average player" to "HOW 2 SHOT ENENIMYS?/" the instant my fitting costs more than 50,000 isk
I have every light weapon in the game except the laser rifle and shotgun trained to operations 5 proficiency 3 but I very rarely even equip advanced weapons because of this. If you see me with a proto rifle in the killfeed, I'm 10 seconds away from getting my ass handed to me by a starter fit
The trick is to just buy, like, 100 suits at a time. Run exclusively Proto for a couple days, and you'll stop getting worried about losing it.

YOU, INDIVIDUALLY, COST US THAT MATCH.' But I can't because I know and am friends with them. In this situation, I normally just leave the squad and pretend to be afk.
