We've all experienced the annoyances of trying to fight a squad of armor tanked Sentinels with Logis tied to their backs. It's plain hell, but you know what I find to be worse?
A squad of one GalLogi with 5 Shotgun Scouts.
At least you can see the heavies and Logis and know that they'll be restricted to one point so you can choose whether or not to engage them. Against a squad with a permascanner and 5 fully dampened SG scrubs, you'll never know where they'll pop up from. What are your thoughts? |

A tightly knit squad of assaults could combat that effectively. Maybe not at first, but if you are ready for it and can regroup. |

So what you're all saying is that I should start saving 2.6 million SP just to skill into Scouts suits so I can counter this "valid tactic" that is used in the majority of all public matches?
Am I interpreting that right? Gee, this game sure has depth.
Also, do you all even know how many low slots I'd have to use on my Assault suit so I could avoid a GalLogi's scans, who are now also a common staple? No less than three, and even with four, I'll still be scanned by Gal and Am Scouts with precision enhancers and also by a GalLogi Focused scanner.
I really have no way to enjoy this game do I? I can either go full scrub and pick up an SG and Scout suit just so I have a chance at staying alive or I can wear nothing less than a Proto suit and try to stick profile damps in alll low slots.
Picking what I want to play instead of trying to find a hard-counter to everything is just nonsense right? |

But people will want to defend their crutch to the end, so no point in arguing. This tactic has no place in pubs.

A pro assault suit can dampen below Gal logi scans with 5 mod slots remaining. To dampen that low my pro scout suit has 4 mod slots remaining.
Also, in an assault suit you don't need to dampen or to scan the scouts in order to beat this strategy. |

EHEM! I mean, yeah. It's not very fun. Then again, FotM Tactics tend to add stuff to the list without changing tactics. This means, most of the counters have already been thought of, but no one pulls them out in time because... reasons. |

Im confused. Logi + Scanner both at V = Whole team can see dudes with 18dB or more for like 8 seconds on their TacNet within 200m of the logi. 200m is more than the maximum that a Scout can even dream of. |

Picking what I want to play instead of trying to find a hard-counter to everything is just nonsense right? Learn to defend yourself. If you can't beat scans don't try. Ad an extra plate or repper. Get your sheilds back faster. Mostly stop crying. those tears cut down visibility. You'll need that

If I have the "You have been scanned" message appear throughout an entire game, don't you think I would defend myself knowing that the enemy is well aware of my location and the location of my teammates? You can bet your ass I'd play defensively.
But when you have 4 to 5 dampened cloaked Shotgun scouts who know your position and the direction you're facing, do you really believe that repairers and defensive play is enough to beat a 4-pronged attack that could happen at any time and which could come from any direction?
I'm not that good. Many of us are not that good, and I doubt you're any good as well. So, before offering up a half-assed solution in order to protect your crutch, why not try to be a little more constructive? |

How is that worse?
Shotguns only have a very small effective range, and you can spam MDs, PLCs, and Flaylocks all day and take them down...
They are much more counterable than the blobs.
I am not going to say its not annoying, just that I don't think it is worse.

I once meleed a shotgun scout to death. Timed his shotgun right as he jumped at me. Beat him down I did.

I have the race of amarr protoed. I roll maddy. I toy with my amarr scout but it's too easy and often boring.
I do roll squad most of the time. Have your logis watch the rear while repping. Check yourself. Leave decoy equipment. There's tons of stuff you can do. Any scout will tell you eyesight is op.

Our logis are the best. I always get a"get thefuck back here" or "if you want reps cover my ass".
Battle is about your guys. We first focus on getting our guys makin money every battle. Needles repper links. Situational awareness and good callouts. N on the Mini map. Basic stuff really. There's no reason you can't have full 360 visual. Keep it tight. Watch the REs.

I tend to smh at you Dark, but this made me lol.
also, shared team scans need to go.
Also, the 2nd: you can pick what you want to play at any given time, just don't be surprised if it isn't effective 100% of the time.
