Yes, It is hard enough to kill the sentinel while your repairing them only to revive them after. Your abusing the unlimited reps and revives. they should nerf them so you can only rep for 5s then have to wait for 10s to recharge unless you carry 4. Your needles should need refilled and only hold 3 charges each Both should only give you WP if they are in your squad.

Since we have team scan why not team damp. Would love to a see squad leader subsytem that lowers the profile of his squad. Or even a subsystem that lowers the profile of individual mercs.
Scanners are the biggest contributor when it comes to stomps in pubs. Guaranteed method for a stomp scan for uplinks destroy uplinks control spawn points. No squad or proto gear needed.
Scanners will never change until PC players complain, which will be never. They need easy mode stress free pubs to farm.
I would rather look bad and win, than look good and lose.

Ive been scanned my whole career as an UP and then finally OP "easymode" heavy in dust. Its basically half the the intelligence. "You have been scanned! Oh dear, better get ready for trouble then. lalala"
I admit skilling into gal logis recently enjoying something new called ewar as a 60 mill sp vet, for me in dust.
Get good.
HMG is fun because it kills red dots.

Replace the scanner with something that involves painting targets that you can see... Watch as the 'Scout' role becomes more interesting. Ewar can then determine how far away you can be scanned from, with no limits on the scanners range, just relying on skill of the player scanning, to see and determine if they can manage the scan from where they are.
Different variants could balance between being able to 'paint' more targets for shorter time period, or 'paint' less targets for longer (as a way to pick out 'key' enemies & vehicles.) |

Rattati nerfed the cloaks do to them being too rewarding and not enough risk. And by this time, people used similar responses to what you guys are saying now. I will quote them.
"Get gud" "Use your eyes" "Always look behind you" "Run scanners"
Tho, many Scouts said that the only worth while cloak to use was the proto cloak. And the STD was utter crap. Cloaks by then made a player invsible, while still maintaining their passive scans and the cloak offered a dampening bonus.
Almost all of this was nerfed because Rattti founded that Scouts running cloaks where far more on the rewarding side and too far away from the risk side. Even tho equipping a cloak benefitted one player.
Keep in mind that if a Scout wanted to run cloaks effectively they needed to have that Scout suit level 5 and proto cloaks to actually be of some use.
Now, with Gal Logis and active scanners it is all backwards. Tho, while the cloak only benefits one player, even back when Uprising 1.8 launched (when they where extremely OP only one player could benefit from the ude of a cloak). Active Scanners in the other hand, benefit the WHOLE team. Mix that with a Gal Logi and you have yourself scans that last a lot.
Now, the same but mirrored arguements are being brought up "Run damps" "Run a dampened scout" "Kill the scanner"
With the same arguements used by scouts back then but just replace "scouts" with Gallente Logistic and "cloak" with "active scanner" What do we get? "The only way for a Gallente Logi to be effective with scans if i for him to have Galente Logistics at Level 5 and use Proto Active scanners to be anywhere near effective" see? The Active scanner has a cool down time, yes. But this is negated by equipping all equipment slots with scanners, sit in one spot and just provide endless scans that the whole team can see for prolonged time.
Cloaks were nerfed do to them being too rewarding and less risky. Well Gallente Logistics with active scanners are the same. Espcially in Ambush. That game mode was bad, but thanks to this scans being thrown everywhere having enemies already storming my spawn area before my team even spawns there.
All I am asking is for when a scan is thrown, there should be a bright red dot where the scanner threw the scan. That way there will be at least some risk involved into this tactic.

One gallogi with 4 proto flux scanners has a little over 30 seconds of scan time, with almost 4 mins of downtime. 2 or 3 damps can get under EVERY other scanner. If you are being permascanned, either you aren't running a damp suit, or there is more than 1 logi running nothing but scans. Scans are worthless to anything but a gallogi, yet I see people crying daily about them. Seriously, run damps or GTFO.

it's like you guys only run one fit. if you keep getting scanned switch to a damped fit. if you keep getting scanned by proto gal logi scans, switch to a proto damped fit |
