I feel as if the rail rifle has been balanced correctly and dose-int need any more then a few tweaks. But the Six Kin Assault Combat Rifle is a little over powered it dose more damage then a HMG and i know it fires at half the speed but still at close range its like a light chain gun plus the rang it has.
I'm not saying it needs nurfed i just want your opinion on the weapon and weather or not other people noticed its power.
All i know is it makes me think twice before going after some one with a combat rifle.
So do you think it needs nurfed or is it just fine

The Rail Rifle bit is a red herring. Not sure why it was included. "I feel that X is overpowered, but first let me tell you about my cat George." Of course, being the internet talking about cats is a good way to get a positive reputation I suppose.
It is a prototype weapon, so it does a lot of damage. It is also a Assault variant so it is a lot better at close range. The insane rate of fire and the low damage per hit makes it have a good DPS but low sustainability in a prolonged fight. It is about fair, in my opinion. It hurts like hell. 21.83 x 20 bullets a second is 436.6 DPS versus the HMG's 792 DPS. If you are comparing damage per bullet, every Light Weapon does more per hit than the 19.8 of the HMG.
Seems fair, all things considered.

I know that it is a light weapon and i was-int trying to diss it or say its over powered. I was just saying that its a devastating weapon at close range. I want to see if any one else had noticed as well.
As for sound i don't know i haven't used ACR in a long time.
And the RR came into play because it was considered op when it first came out.
That's all i had to say.

I kinda agree with you OP.
It's not the max stats of the respective guns. It's the applied stats. The CR has some of the best applied stats in the game (if not THE best.) I think it will get nerfed in the next nerf cycle -- along with some variants of the AR because --how could you ignore them?! o.O

Close to the best, but according to Ratatti the ScR still is the most efficient weapon in the game, but it is comparatively underused. The added range plus the lack of damage falloff at close range more than make up for the semiautomatic fire and heat buildup.
At least so sayeth Ratatti and his spreadsheets.

He has said no such thing. He said most efficient in that post. He did not say in what manner.
Also, those are the paper stats. It says nothing about how well the gun applies its damage to a moving target and at what ranges.
Or is there a spreadsheet CCP released that I missed and that you are capable of pointing me to... |
