Don't pretend like it doesn't need to happen. We are on a 8 year old console, and the devs are pushing everything they can out of this old tech to get sub standard gameplay (which looking at the grandness and the team size is pretty impressive). We need new tech, because doing anything more, as in size or simply something cool just won't happen on the PS3.
I don't really care which, but Dust needs to move to PS4, PC, or both. Hell, if we do, and get a bigger team, we could do lots of things to make the game generally play better. For example, we could have larger, more dynamic maps and player counts, which would really help with vehicle balance.
Also, you guys could greatly increase the preformance of the game (and even make it nicer to the eye). 60 FPS Dust that looks nice sounds great.
ALSO that would make bank. Looking at F2P shooters, Dust seems to be one of, if not the best ones you can play right now. Most of them simply just sucks. porting this to PS4 or PC (and making it known that it is) would grab a lot of people's attention. That means more players, and more customers for CCP.
So do it CCP.

My guess is that they have every wish to move Legion to the PS4, but it is too early for them to share that because of what has previously happened in terms of promises made and promises broken.
Not to mention any of the fools out there who see one thing discussed and suddenly it becomes a promise...
This is why we can't have nice things.

The next iteration of Dust/Legion needs to be cross platform like it was originally supposed to be.
Microsoft wouldn't let it happen. The community should come together and pressure them to let it happen on the new consoles

Given how most (probably all) critics have given this a bad review, and the whole FF 2014 ordeal I can guarantee that most people who look up this game will come to the logical conclusion that its not worth their time. Those who don't do the research will play the game for 3hrs and come to the same conclusion.

Those reviews are very old, and wouldn't cover the state of the game even now.

The IGN one claims it to be a terrible shooter with P2W aspects, as far as I can tell anyways, and that didn't exist then, nor does it exist now (WB isn't really P2W, and the rest is easy enough to get to where spending money is pointless). The game could use a lot of work, but it's not necessarily the **** game they make it out to be (release day BF4 was much worse, and it got far higher scores, so meh).

The problem is that if Dust has any chance of a long term future (a year +) it needs to move off of the sinking ship that is the PS3. No matter how much the game progresses and improves, it will die with the PS3. A move to PS4 MUST happen if this game is going to keep going in the long term.

yes it dose but it should not be rushed. Planing is needed. it would be like telling everyone lets run this way on a sinking boat. and with chance it could put them in a dead end to drown.
dust 514 needs to get better or the need to make project legion and move all of our characters to that before we move it off the ps3.

Sure but the fact of the matter is that we as players need to show a strong and united push to make this happen so CCP can justify the resources to make it happen. I think people basically agree that it needs to happen, but we need to be more vocal about it overall.

Well Maybe a CCP dev could reply to this post so we can talk about what they can do atm and near future? Theres a lot of work that would be needed to move to either platform and it would take lots of money and they may not have the budget to do it atm.

Honestly its more of a decision of upper management, and not really in Ratatti's hands. Even so...

Walked into a Gamestop over Christmas. About 40 PS4 titles on display, half of which were derping sports games. The PS3 games had easily 10x the shelf space. There are hundreds more games I'd rather buy/play on PS3 than the entirety of titles available PS4 (most of which are either sh!t or also available on PS3).
In a word, it'd be worth Sony's time. Even if it were only downloadable PS3 titles from Playstation Store (like Dust!). Doubly so, if they're serious about discontinuing PS3 production next year.

Not to mention that even though the only game I play regularly on PS3 is Dust, I would be disinclined to buy a new PS3 if mine died (and its really on its last leg, probably 7 years old now). If CCP doesn't want the series to die a slow death as PS3's start to give out, either Sony needs to put out an emulator, or Dust needs to just make the move to PS4.

Yes, so much yes.
It is just so obvious that it needs to move asap seriously. Trying to blag every last bit of memory out of the lolps3 is what is happening, people keep talking aboutt how things could be so good and fail to realise what a joke the game is being made on which would be the lolps3.
Come on devs we want the game to carry on proper (carry on proper, get it?).
But serously i want the game to carry on and become everything we want.

Sadly I think thats more of a limitation of the system and not the game, but I could be wrong.
However I do agree that a move to the PS4 would have the very nice added benefit of the DS4 which feels so much better than even my beloved DS3.
