The problem is that if Dust has any chance of a long term future (a year +) it needs to move off of the sinking ship that is the PS3. No matter how much the game progresses and improves, it will die with the PS3. A move to PS4 MUST happen if this game is going to keep going in the long term.

Planing is needed. it would be like telling everyone lets run this way on a sinking boat. and with chance it could put them in a dead end to drown. dust 514 needs to get better or the need to make project legion and move all of our characters to that before we move it off the ps3.
Sure but the fact of the matter is that we as players need to show a strong and united push to make this happen so CCP can justify the resources to make it happen. I think people basically agree that it needs to happen, but we need to be more vocal about it overall.

Honestly its more of a decision of upper management, and not really in Ratatti's hands. Even so...

Oh lawd how I would love that. I love the PS4 and all of its shiny features, would be sweet to have that for some other PS3 games.

I love the PS4 and all of its shiny features, would be sweet to have that for some other PS3 games. Walked into a Gamestop over Christmas. About 40 PS4 titles on display, half of which were derping sports games. The PS3 games had easily 10x the shelf space. There are hundreds more games I'd rather buy/play on PS3 than the entirety of titles available PS4 (most of which are either sh!t or also available on PS3). In a word, it'd be worth Sony's time. Even if it were only downloadable PS3 titles from Playstation Store (like Dust!). Doubly so, if they're serious about discontinuing PS3 production next year.
Not to mention that even though the only game I play regularly on PS3 is Dust, I would be disinclined to buy a new PS3 if mine died (and its really on its last leg, probably 7 years old now). If CCP doesn't want the series to die a slow death as PS3's start to give out, either Sony needs to put out an emulator, or Dust needs to just make the move to PS4.

Sadly I think thats more of a limitation of the system and not the game, but I could be wrong.
However I do agree that a move to the PS4 would have the very nice added benefit of the DS4 which feels so much better than even my beloved DS3.
