Ironically, it's been 70 days the last we heard about PL was when a dev saying there won't be anything new said about PL.
I used to have a blog where I wrote stuff about DUST, and people seemed to like it. Now, I can't even be bothered. Woo.

Wow very nice lol, but anyways its obvious by now that Project Legion is dead by now. CCP just doesn't want to admit it otherwise they'll just **** people off more. The name doesn't matter to me much, as long as I can play it on my PC.

They've already said that there won't be any presentations. Only hope you have there is for there to be a closed-doors round table that one of the players going will have to livestream or record (hopefully Bamm Havoc)

Can someone tell me when will I be able to play Legion in WQHD @ 144 Hz at maxed settings with G-Sync? 
I-¦m not bothering with this 720p sillyness anymore.

[Speculation] No one will know at this time until beta in terms of a precise answer. It all depends on how the studio will configure the game for PC's. I can tell you that the Unreal Engine 3 can easily do that. And that is the engine they are using. I can't see CCP not doing this. In the meantime, what games are you playing now?

Same here, especially with D3D12 on the horizon. However, I think something has changed at Shanghai and I don't have faith Legion is actually a thing anymore. |

A good game should take 1 year and maybe 4 or 5 months.
Dust wasn't that good when it came out in 514 because it was too early.
Clearly they don't want to make that same mistake with making it too soon.

Not really great hopes in PL.
Hope that Sony paid good money to CCP to make a new game for the PS3 turd. Now they are locked on an aging platform which is not likely to grow, only wither.
Considering how bad is dust, i would bet a 2 year minimum to develop something either to PC or PS4.
I dont think they will announce anything at fanfests, to avoid risk of another Riot, since by now the Peasants are already calmed down and spending again in the Dust shops. |

Valkyrie dev team is not small anymore. Resource re-allocation from Project Legion is my guess.
Also, if you think about it, its not up to the studio to re-allocate resources and stuff, its up to Hellmar and his gang. Sooo... why would CCP develop 2 FPS games in the first place.
Dust 514/Legion (Space Lobby shooter) has too much competition on the PC platform. It would be stupid to develop it before Valkyrie (niche F2P FPS in space) business wise.

My guess is, something changed, Dust making money maybe? Oculus giving ccp a 'we will launch on XXX day' notice and so CCP shifting gears to get valk out the door? CCP really hurting for money, and hoping that Valk will save the company? CCP deciding that the 2014 vision won't work, so lets fix dust and then spread out into too many directions again.
I really don;t know. But it looks like CCP is getting starey eyes about VR and going down the path they did before. Spreading themselves to thin. Unless Legion is going to become a VR shooter, which could be interesting, they need to focus. But this is CCP.
Anyway, the trade mark expiring doesn;t rreally mena much, as for all we know legion is now Dust514 part 2. Who knows. I'm just a bit worried if CCP spreads to thin again.

I bet it will be VR based as a FPS on PC and consoles now that they are more uniformed with X86. I bet it will also be Unreal Engine 4. After getting personal feedback from PAX on the VR front I am going to guess we might see FPS and VR hand in hand over the next few (8) years and see the device become smaller for VR if it is successful enough. Either way I will support a New Eden FPS.
My only feedback is that CCP should make an exclusive "VR" only release for their games any longer. You will limit your portfolio. I mean that with total kindness. It get's expensive for PC gamers. Accessibility is key. Love ya!

If they can't make this game balanced after 2 years of beta testing then why should we hope for Legion on a PC n Mac to be any better? Hackers always find ways on PC games and without a true commitment Legion should never be made. The fact that the "rougewedding" was allowed to happen then the resolve wasn't there to carry out their diabolical plans just shows something. We can't help but see DUST became a testing site for things they wanted to try and now we got officer stomping and jumpy fits and Minm assault unbalance. No PR is bad PR and a sign that Legion may never get done.

Elite: Dangerous will soon have Multi-crew, space combat and seamless planetary landing, ground vehicles that can be supported by the space vehicles soon while performing raids on ground based outposts, whilst gathering resources to craft items with.
They just need to add a first person element after that and Frontier will have fulfilled CCP's dream of creating the ultimate SCI-FI Simulator along with Star Citizen....
Come On CCP throw us a bone.

Relax? RELAX?! After all the hype from fanfest 2013, the waiting through the whole Uprising expansion to feel like an fps in New Eden, Legions announcement at fanfest 2014 ( which was the stupidest way to go about saying they want to move onto better hardware), Then an Entire year of NO MOTHERFUCKING NEWS!!!
There's been more than enough time for CCP, what would calm me down is what their plan for an FPS in New Eden is. That's all, just some words at this point would be enough for some time. CCP needs to get with the times, so many other development companies communicate more with their community about the development of their game and their plan. Plus they show actual progress, which has bought plenty of trust.
Now what do we get from CCP? NOTHING, NADA + FUCKIN SOON TM

There was already a report several months ago that DUST was actually making CCP money. Why would CCP possibly chance cutting into that revenue stream with news (especially if far off) of a port?

Admittedly, I could be reading too much into it; offerings to CCP could refer to region/language specific software versions. I think EVE Fanfest 2016 in Iceland will tell for sure but CCP is not the fastest moving software company where we might not get any confirmation of DUST's future in 2016 either. If anything, the Legion announcement thoroughly shows that CCP should only report on actual going projects instead of possible future projects. With somewhat recent CCP failings of new projects such as World of Darkness, CCP should know by now to stick with what is working (which DUST is) rather than starting from scratch which they would do if they moved forward with their initial Legion plans.

Nope OFFERING for this type of job just means more in game stuff to buy for whoever is left and willing to give CCP more $$. And there is no reason for CCP to not say what their plan for an FPS in New Eden is.
