A stock character has the ability to generate 200 components per day at base sell back of 900 ISK per component. This equates to 180K ISK. Or, 540K across 3 accounts. Or, 34.5 million across the maximum number of accounts created from a PS3 (64 accounts, ~9 hour grind) Or, the DeadlyAztec11. 4.14 Billion ~Hospitalization / Hazardous to farm in one go
While I do illustrate extreme examples, the dedicated farmer will improve their harvest yield the more they tend to it by keeping components from reaching their 2 day threshold.
Yes, I see alt farming ISK via npc sell back of components could become an issue. I ask that you please severely reduce or eliminate NPC sell-back prices on components. However, I would be perfectly fine if you allowed players to continue stockpiling components for later sale between players and to corporations, therein allowing the player market to dictate the value of people's farming time. I say power to the no-lifers! 'Gold farmers' contracted by individual people or corps have the ability to leverage their farming production abilities. Not to worry. Component donations en-mass to corps are not an issue because that facet will be managed by CCP with command points.
FARMVILLE 514! It's a new way to play and compete in New Eden.

Nocturnal Soul wrote:Aurum proto suits is now cheaper by buying the components and selling them for isk to buy the isk version instead.... but while typing this I realize aurum allows you to use the item a lvl above what you have. The best value around for selling AUR items back (besides components) are Turrets...if you're tracking me.

Here are some affirmations from Jeff Bridges on the topic.

Update: NPC Resell has been axed from 900 ISK to 2 ISK on a base character. Thanks Rattati Now alt farming of components has a niche that won't kill the value of ISK across the market when player trading is implemented. If Rattati gives his blessing to this practice I see no issue with changing the rates components are produced or current warbarge cooldown overrides work. Some people can't be bothered to farm so they will buy from the alt grinders or supplement with AUR to avoid scams. I look forward to the number of trading scams that will come out of this initially. The legitimate traders will rise to the top eventually.

Flint Beastgood III wrote:Kira Lannister wrote:You can sell back components? This is what I keep asking. I only see an option to sell battle salvage (under salvage in assets). Nowhere do I see an option to sell back components. Within the assets window there is a tab for warbarge and components are listed here. As for 64 accounts, you may create that amount from a single PS3 system, but only 16 can remain active at a time. This means you must remove these 16 accounts in order to work with the next batch of 16. The user cycles this process until they work through 64 accounts.
An account that has been created via PC become tied to one of these 64 on the first system it connects to.

Logistics of Alt Component Production for Personal Stockpile or Resale
This segment is intended as a primer for users on alt mining. While it is not the same as alt mining in EVE. this process teaches dusties the power of using extra characters to increase production of goods.
Starter Farmer: 1. Create 16 email accounts. 2. Register these accounts http://www.playstation.com/en-us/ 3. Register New PSN accounts via http://dust514.com/ 4. Log into PS3 system, sign in with new accounts. Scroll to games, and tap square to organize folders for faster scrolling 5. Log into Dust 514 with pre-created characters via http://dust514.com/ 6. Select Warbarge, spend 300 warbarge components to upgrade warbarge. 7. Cycle process through existing characters and accounts.
PS3 systems will allow users to hold 16 active accounts at a single time. These must be remove in order to cycle another 16. Each PS3 system holds a limit of 64 accounts.
Farm time = 1hr 40m for 16 accounts (extra if client requires update) Earnings = 19,200 Components (per 2 days) Estimated AUR savings 57,600 (~$53, yes this process does cut into potential CCP revenue on Dust.)

It would be silly if CCP Rattati limited the trade of some goods over others.
I'm trying to treat this more like mining in Eve or Sweating in Project Entropia. http://youtu.be/d3HKXZguuMk
Low barrier of entry with better collective bargaining when you mine in groups. It's not foreseeable CCP has a mining exploration mechanic ready for Dust on ps3. Instead, we make an emergent mining mechanic out of Sony system architecture that most players can choose to take advantage of. While not a polished solution, it's low hanging fruit for CCP.

Addendum. -A level 4 loyalty rank can be activated with a 40k AUR purchase = about $20. -Loyalty rank is currently carried across all profiles on an account. -Pay CCP $320 to activate your 16 active PSN accounts
Suggestions -Purchase suits and various bpos that you do not own on your main. -Transfer or sell those items later upon unlocking level 4
