I would really like a confirmation from CCP that Dust514 is in fact will be moving to PS4 and PC soon. Because so many people are spreading it around saying that it is moving to these two platforms and they will be stopping the updates for PS3.

Hate to say it, but until I get a confirmation from CCP themselves, I won't be buying any AUR's or any products from you guys till then.

Agreed. I REALLY want to give the current Dust dev team my money but until we get even the tiniest sliver of information about legion I'm not gonna spend a dime.

You realize until there is a playable beta that they can make money off of nothing is going to be said about Legion right?

Saying Legion is at X stage in production will only revitalize the Dust is dead argument and take a fat dump on all the work they have done restoring faith to feed all these shiny new cash grabs.

I agree with this but can you imagine the image CCP will have if they're truly using Dusts end of life to help fund Legion ? (With no transparency) When that time comes if Legion is for PC only all these road maps and current optimistic Dust fans will be irate knowing all the money they have spent has been for nothing.. (although it's their own fault) CCP will still be burning a lot of bridged and possible Legion customers. ..

IMO transparency would be the best ie "We're still supporting Dust till there is no one else around to support it but Legion PC is our main focus.. Here is what we are doing with Legion, your character will be transferable etc etc" We hope to see you there..

Some will stop spending money but a large group that hasn't spent money on Dust because of lack of transparency, myself included. Would start spending money again pretty sure it would balance itself out.

They already have millions of followers on PC. Once Legion is ready to the point that they announce it they will have zero need for console gamers.

I disagree with saying that Dust is funding Legion. Dust is giving money to CCP which they spend on whatever they choose to spend it on. CCP makes enough money off of Eve to fund whatever they want to with or without Dust.

Maybe not funding legion solely but it doesn't hurt and I'm sure Rattati is trying to prove something, hopefully he doesn't get put in charge of Legion's payment model... I don't know about your last statement, Hilmar flipped **** after the 2013 financial report was released they were spread to thin meaning EVE can't afford to pay everyone's bills.. I know at that time they had WoD and Dust and I believe starting EVE Valkyrie... But if the massive WoD layoffs tell us anything EVE alone can not fund whatever they want.. :-/

We are not planning to make any announcements about or show anything new for DUST 514 or Project Legion at Fanfest, but CCP Rattati and CCP Rouge will be on hand to talk to attendees and participate in all the usual activities with everyone such as pub crawls and roundtables.

Wiat 1-+ month and see what they have to say about things at FanFest.

This is the only way you can sway their decisions. If Dust earns them money they will continue it in one form or another.

Execs reading posts or not, i'm absolutely not investing anything in a company that treats their customers like so much kittenshit.

Given CCP's past behavior re: DUST/PS3, any player who gives CCP money at this stage is acting out of ignorance or altruism. CCP certainly hasn't earned it imo.

As for convincing the execs, a few moments of reflection leads one to recall that way back at the beginning of this adventure, the entire gaming industry and a hella lotta eager players gave CCP miles of rope, which they then proceeded to hang themselves with.

The failure wasn't the market's, or the players', or the press, or the PS3's or Sony's. The failure was 100% CCP's execution, prioritization, communication. Currently, barring Rattai's fairly unusual field promotion, there is little to no evidence that anything has changed at CCP re DUST/Legion.

The silence speaks volumes.

With the lack of direction coming from CCP, I would assume that Dust is a dead end and I would just enjoy it while it lasts. That way, if anything comes of Legion, you'll be happily surprised...rather than butthurt if it doesn't happen.

Another thing that helps is to support a game for what it's already given you -- entertainment at a very cheap rate, compartively, to other hobbies -- rather than something that it might become. Plans have a way of going off the track and not materializing, and people tend to become angry if they place too much hope on "plans" and interpret them as "promises".

All of the above said, the silence from CCP is perhaps the most dismaying....and I suspect what's making many hold back from supporting Dust even more with their wallets.
