Feedback thus far:
-some features missing: toggled inertial dampeners. -ISK payouts are still pretty low. Not seeing much of this salvage that was touted. -warbage seems like a slow burner, but that's good. Less impressed with how components cannot be earned within battles, and only through facility output and Aurum purchases. If you want us to fight to build up our power bases, link the engine of that -the components- to our efforts within the game itself. It'll also make the warbage look a little less like a desperate cash grab ;) -nothing in game has really changed, it feels. Nothing worse, but nothing better.
All in all, a bit deflated to be honest. But I think it's got potential.

Absolutely yes. I would love that.

All in all, a bit deflated to be honest. But I think it's got potential. You can earn Components through salvage, 50, 100+ at a time and also some Daily missions rewards!
Yes, I earned 75 last night. My apologies. It'd been after four hours of solid play so I'd assumed it wasn't feature. Can I ask if it's possible to make components awarded less as a RNG drop but a way to reward the winners of a battle in a unique and meaningful manner? Essentially, winners get the right to salvage the battlefield and claim an additional reward of components? It'd make games much more competitive if winning them gives mercs a direct way of improving thier power bases.

I'd rather the easiest way to earn components be through battle: warbarges are only going to grow in stature in future updates, so empowering them by your efforts on the battlefield is a way to pull the merc away from his or her desire to fight just for the money and economise accordingly and instead push harder for the win, because winning increases your overall power as you upgrade your base of operations.
However, buying components could also be an option, but only on an open player market, with the components being sold by fellow players who have earned them through thier efforts.

The intention is for warbarges to have a subsystem that creates keys on a daily basis. If they're anything like the weapons lab that they currently have, you'll have to wait for them to be produced and then pay a further component cost to claim them.
The warbarge, on further reflection, looks a bit shoddy. The damage bonus doesn't seem to be applying, although at its curret 1% bonus it's hard to tell. Unlocking that facility removed the icon for the market network, and by extension the ability to claim its isk and upgrade it, which I'm assuming is a bug.
Games do feel more competitive, however, and the sp payout increases are just about right now. Still getting thrown into dead games, however. The new map, which I have played only once, it's actually rather good. Still getting stuck to walls and terrain, though.
I was really, really looking forward to my warbarge and the work I was going to put into making it badass, but having dropped 20k of Aurum into it to buy a few upgrades it feels distinctly lacking. It's just sitting there, accumulating space Lego at a shockingly slow rate which is totally disconnected to my career as an immortal killing machine. Win, lose or draw my barge will grow slowly at a press-determined, linear manner until I drop my wallet on top of it or get extremely lucky with a salvage drop of components after a battle. Please consider giving us a direct link between our efforts in game and the upgrade path of warbarges, it seems like such a no-brainer to me.
