Every suit has its strong point and weak points. my wife has a caldari assault and let me tell you that thing is beast. Well, if you use it right. I'm tempted to build one of my own. That suits advantage is that it has quick shields regen. You can hide for a few seconds and you are back up and running at full health. I love that. She pairs that suit with the ARR and that thing hits like a horny mule on *******. Well, I haven't actually seen a horny mule on ******* but, I can imagine its kick would be devastating to anybody unlucky enough to get in its way. Anyways, The suits has its draw backs and it is not the best suit to have a sustained head to head battle. So, what you do is play that suit like a scout. Run around and flank some fool. Hammer him with the ARR and then run some more so that your shields regen to max again. Rinse and repeat.
The Ammar eerrr well, I just don't get the ammar at all. I've tried the scrambler rifle and the ammar assault and I just get hammered left and rights. From afar it must look like a gang bang movie. The only one that i had luck with is the ammar heavy. The scout is ugly and that is reason enough for me not to even try it. The ammar are super slow which means that if they don't have suport they can be quickly taken over. Shoot them a couple of time, hide and shoot them again and that's it . they are dead. The scrambler rifle has that one powerful one shot BBBUUUTTT!!!!!!! it builds a lot of heat and it requires a lot of trigger discipline. You must have the calmness of a budhist Russian on pot to use that riffle which I don't have. If you panic with the SCR you are dead and if you miss that 1st chargd shot more than likely you will overheat and also die. So, the suit and weapon combo is balance. Sure, it hits hard but, cannot sustain a fight for long. Compare to the caldari that can't take too many hits but regens fast making them able to sustain a fight.
My analisis of the table top incident is not that your suit is bad or that the SCR is overpower. Its more of a bad strategy. It is a miracle you even made it up the ladder to begin with. I would had waited until my team had an orbital and cleared them that way. Also, the table top gives you the high level advantage enabling you to pick the targets at a distance but, it has the disadvantage of having to get down. If you are able to capture the point then they have no choice but, to jump down which puts them at a disadvantage.
On the other hand you could had climbed the other two milk carton looking buildings and use the range of the regular rail rifle to kill them off. |
