Don't need to read entire thread. This coming from the same guy who led TP, which owned 33% with less than 40 people. Who ran ERA, which owned 30% and couldn't field a team under its own flag to save its life - instead COMPLETELY relying on a massive ringer teams consisting of ERA/STB/TP/NF/FA/etc.. Who forced the 100% idea down the community's throat to "help them" after the spoils were commandeered. Your argument is to strong arm NS because they can't field all their battles? My my, pot/kettle conundrum here. Not that I agree with them holding the amount of land to begin with, for some reasons aforementioned, but for you to attempt to command our agenda is ludacrous.
I noticed in your OP that Rattati obviously recognizes your opinion. Why don't you instead take that responsibility and utilize it in a way you may not be familiar with - promoting pc. Bring back the incentive to actually fight for the land, not just have battles between each other because there's nothing else to do. Passive isk at some level is a must, or some way to generate usable income that can be funneled to members/corp in financing pc itself. I've heard talk of some carebear sh!t like only alliance members can play in battles after PC 2.0 - seriously? I guess they should change the Dust514 intro movie, wherein characters are described as mercenaries? Talk about donutization of MH, a wasteland for any small organization - an ideal that does anything BUT follow the eve/dust premise.
Oh Roman, I guess I could then attack your 0200 and make it a 0500 battle, ay? Ya know, OUR primetime. I know you've had your warm glass of milk and are probably tucked in, but we'll be waiting. Look both ways before crossing the street -> Nocturnal Acquisitions, pleasing vampires and Pacific Islanders since Uprising.
Alright...back to my BIscuits and gravy. |

The paradox of "actively" gaining the rewards as compared to passively is a judgement of the lesser of two evils. Passive can lead to doughnut large-scale care bear farming. Active can lead to malicious "farming" of lower-tiered corps via attacking repeatedly, subsequently destroying corps' morale entirely and pushing them out of MH. There has to be a balance of both.....in such a way that neither scenario is encouraged or lucrative. You must be rewarded for having the land, and using it. I understand that the complexity of devising such a reward scale is beyond CCP's applicable capacity, but formulating a blueprint that can be simplified (dumbed down) would motivate corps across the board to exercise entrepreneurship and risk their investment into MH. No doubt a double-edged sword, from either perspective.
Take this for example.... District gets 10 mil/day. However, each passing day that the district is not "used" this passive payment decreases exponentially. So today, NS's districts would pay them 0, because they aren't used in any way. Or take away the isk, instead a district gets X weapons/equipment etc at the same decreasing magnitude. Then either/or would be instead earned through active battle, i.e. PC. Periodic free clone packs for new corps without land, to break in without losing it all. Farming could have been ended long ago, if CCP would take five minutes to simply monitor every PC that goes on: spectate a battle that they know is going on - they see no one in it, a warning is issued (or fine). Second infraction, increased consequence - leading to removal of districts/corporate dissolution/bans/etc. A few corps would be set an example, the rest would realize that law is enforced properly. The community could assist by reporting suspects, simplifying this process for devs.
I just can't wrap my head around the direction PC is going. In what other situation, in any other game (VG's or RL sports) are the highest-tiered competitors effectively "punished" for aspiring to reach the top? Meaning, why would the risk reap no reward for PC corps, instead becoming an isk-drain? What kind of communist setup do the lobby shooter hobby players in pubs deserve the same income as the "pros"? Duna514, everyone. Inb4elitist? |

Tell ya what high roller, point me in the direction of anything you own, and you can tell me where good hiding spots are after we're through with you. If I didn't know your corp better, or my relation with Hawkin were any less, I'd be getting PR QQ mails by the droves the moment attacks were launched to effectively rearrange your lip machine like the human centipede.
Or have you just been converted to Eastern Orthodox Romanism recently? You know only 120,000 clones actually "make it" according to his teachings, right? |

Ghostt Shadoww wrote:Question....what if CAP goes after land. And they end up owning 25-35%.
Answer: We already have more land that I want or need, ever. CAP is neither imperialistic, nor elitist. Just a bunch of hobbits gettin down in the shire. You can take that 30% all the way to mordor, golem....districts are no longer precious. |
