Being able to talk to people within 50m with voice comms would make teamplay even in pub matches viable. How hard would this be to implement? I know dev resources are limted, but this could go a long way to make the game better... |

there's already the option, it's the team chat channel. Problem is no one uses it. Squads stick to themselves to limit distracting chatter and FW and PC comms is usually a dedicated chat channel

No, that's not what I'm talking about. Team chat channel send and recives from/to the whole team regardless of where they are on the map.
I'm talking about teamchat only to and from people close to you. So saying stuff like 'go left, I'll go right', 'follow me' or 'lets retreat back in cover guys' would make sense...
If someone is a chatterbox, leave them behind and it stops you from hearing them, that sort of thing |

Which means denying yourself Intel from recon scouts or snipers on overwatch. doesn't really seem that useful.

I would love the ability to talk to reds with voip. Can you imagine the role play that would be possible, or the nova knifer whispering in your ear as you are sniping? |
