I was counter sniping this thales guy and I have my chrage sniper ready to one hit head shot him in his 900 ehp Caldari Commando when his suit flares...
Le me sees scrubby dubby derp sitting in hills
Le me aims at head (350% damage bonus)
Le me fires
Le me sad because It did normal damage instead of 1000+
Le me sees scrubby dubby derp sitting in hills next match
Le me aims at head (350% damage bonus)
Le me fires
Le me sad because his suit shoots flares and then he runs away unharmed and unscaved.
Le me comes to forums and whines.
This is unfair. His head should be exploded rt now.

This is the problem , you see where you said , charged ... if that was militia I promise you , you would have headshot him .

There does need to be something done about the snipers, even in prototype level it's useless on certain maps.
Sometimes the shields just flare and targets take no damage, and in many cases the only one-shot-kill sniper rifle is the charge sniper, unless you get a headshot, which isn't profoundly easy.
The winner of this war will not prove who's right; only, who's left.

I have proficiency 5, commando 5, and 3 complex damage mods and my sniper does 470-80

Try upping the sharpshooter to 5, there's a damage fall off as distance increases. Even then though, snipers are still really situational and not very effective as they are.

I've seen damge well over 1k from multiple variants of the sniper rifle mostly proto and officer gear |

There's no hit detection flaws sniping stationary targets. It's just the fact that the zoom is so bad, the pixel in the place of the crosshair thinks it's aimed straight at the target, when in fact, it's missing by an inch or two.
And this is why we need a zoom in/out feature in our sniper rifles, folks.
Life has no "real" meaning. We are just dust particles in an endless world we call space.

My 800+ HP fat suit absolutely gets OHK'd by high-end snipers, so when the hit detection is working they can be total face wreckers and a real pain to remove. But yeah, the few times I've tried to snipe myself have ended me throwing the controller at something out of sheer frustration. Hit detection is completely arbitrary.
