These are the fits I use in public matches for std ammandos (to get the most out of these you need some max core skills for a few things like lvl 5 for shield and armor mods for max base hp when no hp mods are used) :
Proto precision and dampener
(2x std scrambler rifle) or (std shotgun and (adv assault plasma rifle/adv burst plasma rifle/adv tac plasma rifle))
adv active scanner or compact nanohive
(used when playing solo, best at flanking enemies, you usually need to run 300m or more to properly flank during proto stomps, roughly a 1 minute walk sometimes, that is 1/15 th of a match, it can be annoying)
Proto rep mod
Proto precision mod
(2x std scrambler rifle) or (std scrambler and adv assault plasma rifle) or (std scrambler and laser rifle)
std nanohive or adv active scanner or std nanite injector
(used for team play, allows you to scan brick tanked medium frames, stick to allies even if playing solo)
Proto reactive plate
Proto shield mod
(std scrambler rifle and militia assault combat rifle) or (militia assault scrambler rifle and militia assault combat rifle)
std nanohive or compact nanohive or std rep tool or std nanite injector
(used for team based play, if playing solo, stick to objectives that have allies, stay near 1 ally)
for proto ammandos:
2x proto dampeners
proto rep mod
proto precision mod
proto scrambler rifle
proto burst combat rifle or (proto assault scrambler rifle and proto shotgun)
std nanohive or adv active scanner
(used for solo play, can be great for flanking enemies in team play, but you end up flanking enemies in solo play anyway) |

using weapons that the commandos weapons don't apply to is done because we don't have the SP yet so we compromise, other times its because we are multi tasking which gimps our fits at certain ranges such as being good at 0-5 meters and 50-90 meters but not good at 5-50m. etc. we change our behavior to compensate for these weaknesses.
sometimes a scrambler would not suit the situation, we might need a larger damage per clip, thus we use an AR with another specialized weapon like a shotgun or swarm launcher or sniper. |
