But in all seriousness the constant pandering to buy Aurum is getting a little ridiculous... The only thing that would make it worse is pop-up ads.

They were outsourcing their voice chat features to some other company, and they needed to pay that company for their services. They got their own voice chat feature made and installed in Uprising 1.0, so they could get rid of UVTs. So its not like they didn't have a reason for them. And they made a point to get rid of the UVTs as soon as they could. They were a little overpriced though...

Think Rattati was reference to the significant use of Windows Paint as opposed to taking multiple hours to design a UI that looks similar to the one we have in-game.
That would be the original Aura from a decade ago. The AI that teaches players how to play, narrates simple statements, etc.
