Some corps are active enough in PC, and provide enough reimbursement to their corpmates, so they can justify at 10%+ tax rate. And yes, it is endlessly frustrating to have players ask for events and reimbursement for things AND for the tax rate to be 0% - 1% in the same breath.
DAAAA BEAST wrote:0% Real corps don't steal your money. You are correct, because taxes aren't theft. You agree to them when you join a corporation. If you don't agree to corp's tax rate or a CEO can't explain/show what the taxes are going toward, then don't apply.

Real corps don't steal your money. Not a single member left yet in my corp. Corrosive Synergy doesn't own a PC district either. If your corp is not in PC or doesn't do any ISK tied events then your corp has no reason to tax.

Otherwise the funds are just going into the Leadership's pocket while offering nothing for you in return.
^This.
Back in the day when there were all sorts of cool stuff supposedly in the pipeline for DUST 514 in the EVE Universe I didn't mind paying tax whilst not active in PC, as it was considered a good idea to have some savings for when it would be needed.
But now... 0% tax all the way!

@Ripley. Any idea why I have the "contact" icon showing on your avatar? Does it also work in reverse and show someone who has you on their contacts list? Not that I believe you have reason to have me as a contact.

Any corp that isn't active in PC or funding players in some way should have a 0% tax rate.

Is it just the tax rate?
Sorry, I'm just wondering if there is another reason, you're unhappy with the corp.
Alliance and corp chat is lagging me out. Did leave just to try it out and I noticed a huge difference. Was almost lag free It's enoying l Love ML but the lag is killing me
I thought it was because my squad was full the last few times you asked.
I shed a tear when I saw you'd left.

You'll get that sometimes in any large corp, but they're very few compared to the rest. Molon is a pretty friendly corp, and leadership does use the tax for the things stated above. Events, Bounties, PC, lotteries, anything to really engage our guys.
We need to have a FW Qsync contest night again. The militia scrambler pistol competitions are probably the most fun I've ever had in Dust.
