I remmember really great mail by one of "good players" some time ago (when i aspired to one clan where my friend Parkour Practicioner played before).
I was directly on other side of issue.
I do not felt lag at all, but other side have "directly same issue" (like king thunderbolt here) and without any kind of thinking starts to acusate from cheating and be somehow bad.
What i trying to say, CCP needs to put some effort to server connection.
Newbies need to turn off media in connection settings of Ps3.
And we all defo needs more servers for regional balance.
With these all we can have flawless games in future.

You can be laggier then that... But living right next to their servers and you will still get auto pinged at 200. |

Go back to defending the need for you to have Aim assist in PC.
Why would you ever want skill to determine the outcome of the most competitive game mode anyway.
Alot of people experience this same outcome from this corporation. Saxonmish doesn't produce this result when he's rolling in game... Part of the same corporation.
But when a certain group in that corporation that always plays together in third rock get's together, the entire matches game performance suffers.
This is why the average player who has been around DUST for 6 months+ accredit it to the whole group using Turbo controllers. Nothing to do with their "Leet" aim... Or they being some "Unbeatable" force.... Just the fact that your game turns into a slideshow whenever you are around them. When you are 400m away? It is fine. |

Iv killed thunder before but I agree that lag stuff is not fair to other players. I run into it a lot facing thir rock but you guys also stomp so I dont like playing pubs against that kind of team play its no fun unless everyone on both sides do the same.

I'm no defender of this guy and have trashed him myself for vids in the past but I believe that this guy doesn't deserve all the negative attention that he gets .

It looks like a typical game for me , I get a lot of lag filled games far worst then this one , I could really only see two or three instances of lag in this vid .
This really isn't uncommon .
I have one of the best packages from AT&T and I still run into matches like this , really this was a mild one to me .
I have played games that were so lag filled that I had to quit or just stopped trying to put forth any effort because clearly something was going on .
This topic will now cause me to pay attention to who's in game from now on .

I watched that first link from the OP and that looks more like what I'm use to and it might have something to do with who's playing but who really knows ?
You can say that TR players make that effect happen and if more people testify to that then that might lead to some creditability but that game was horrible .
The second one wasn't all that serious .
I think we need to find out if there's any merit to all of this before we start finger pointing .

No the link the OP is referring to is in the OP however in his new video he calls out sax for being afraid to show deaths and he edited out every time I killed him that video. Not to mention the only time he killed me is when it lagged when it was smooth I wrecked him.

See players on consoles often confuse lag and low frame rate as the same thing...
In kinda pseudo internet slang i suppose it is..
But PC players can see this plain as day as terrible low frame rate..
Frame rate isn't just the rate that you see the game and the pretty pictures. It is also the rate in which the game reads you inputs per second.
The lower the frame rate. The less you input per second is being registered hence hindering not only the rate of information that can be perceived but also the rate of information the game is reading from your direct input.
This is often what players refer to as "Lagg" on these forums... Rare is it really Latency based lagg in DUST... the servers are quite good.. And if it is latency based more often then not it is truly client side.
But frame rate lagg is a completely different matter, this is also amplified by the fact that all hit detection is done server side.. And really can start to impact total game performance.
Here is an entire scientific study on Frame rate's direct impact on gamer performance and the most key... ENJOYMENT.

Yeah, we had a PC against kappa where they mailed a member of our team before the battle to say we had no chance. We got in the battle, and simply couldn't move, respond, get damage to register, or anything. It was a waste of isk as frame rates got slower and slower to the point of just waiting for the battle to end. I DC'd at the end of the battle, and never saw the defeat screen because my whole ps3 froze.
When it's like that you just feel someone was causing it whether they know it or not. I had been playing lag free all day in the pubs and FW. Played against q syncs and all. One match with them, or another PC team on any mode, or especially PC, and I'm just watching the match happen in freeze frame?!
My buddy recorded a video of his dropship stuck frozen in mid air just being destroyed. He couldn't move it. Couldn't tell where he was. Then the match just ended. I told him he should post it in the forums, or send it in a ticket to CCP. Doubt they will or can do anything, but they need to see this. Don't know if he did or not.

If you truly look at the facts and the actual stuff that has evidence backing it up.... It kinda makes sense that multiple turbo controller inputs in a match would directly impact the game performance in a match, Specially all being used in close proximity in a high traffic zone.

It will only make sense to those who want a crutch to help them play competitively. All the epic times in PC that are looked back on happened when there was no Aim assist, when everyone was competing. Lagg is what ultimately killed PC Not a lack of hit detection. Welcome to reality. Lol in the vidoe he accuses me of lagging he stops the video right before the battle report hahahah then he brags about uploading the most wins ( he went 3/9 with a gastuns hmg ). and 3rd rock don't proto stomp or organize stomp....we are broke as ****, even our ceo is lol. Honestly we all just get together and shoot people...we aren't evil....actually most of the people I talk to in 3rd rock I'm glad they are in 3rd rock, not because of their skills (added bonus) but because they are cool as shizzzz

Now.. I have mixed feelings about this..
First, KTB is definitely a garbage player. I only had to watch 3 minutes of 2 videos of him to notice it. He has terrible movement and my grandpa probably aims better than him. This is undeniable. Hearing that he beated much better players than he'll ever be made me smile :)
Though, I give him ONE point. In some match, the game lags out crazily. We can't deny that on his video the game starts lagging when he and his squadmates get close to enemies. So it's not about his connection, or it would only affect him.. It's not only because he sucks that he died many times, we see it.
It's true that when fighting against some particular players, the game usually lags. It's not something new. Remember how the Escrow Removal corp and the Teamplayers before them were lagging out every battles? It was as sure as 1+1=2. They were creating this lag by some mean. Some players still do this of course.
I think lags come from CCP servers (that need to be refreshed) and latency between players as well as difference of connection. Nevertheless, some players might have find a way to take advantage of it and "control" it.
(Third rock are definitely not one of these corps, I played maaany battles against saxonmish and other members and the battles weren't laggy).

Third Rock (excl. Sax) tend to lag for me, but nothing different to many other corps I play against.
Considering the last time I played KTB he lagged quite a bit, got raped (by me) and left the game, im not surprised.
