Payout is also determined by isk destroyed in battle. I get first place on the boards a lot as a logi and 600k plus is rare. It just means that lots of people were dying in proto or lots of vehicles were blown up. I only play dust514ums now. It was always more fun than the actual game anyways.

O_o i've gotten under 400K isk from 4000wp, in a WINNING game. it depends on how much ISK was lost and also time spent in battle as that correlates to WP. even if you don't kill anything, if everyone is in MLT gear you won't get a very good payout. 606K ISK is my best so far as a logi DUST VIDEOS

You can guarantee the new players with only a few hundred WP basically got peanuts. Everyone should get a reasonable base payout, how well you did in battle should be additional to the reasonable base payout instead of giving new players scraps. But realyl, i think they seek out those games, because it gives a score one then turns into a source of pride. it would be like a NHL player wiping out the competition in a game of road hockey, and then going around mentioning it as a accomplishment.
