Tau Lai wrote:According to what we saw in the last Fanfest, LEGION may be right now aproximately at 70% until beta. My guess is that we will have a release date announcement at 2015 Fanfest.
My guess about Beta is somewhere in April 2015 My guess about release date is July 2015.
The lack of news concerning this situation is an strategy for not killing Dust yet, and not to lose the playerbase they have right now.
Ahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
No.

Pretty much this.

Yeah, it's already been stated there will likely be roundtables. Just because things tend to get said when devs talk, I wouldn't be shocked if one or two tidbits of information that weren't public before were said during Fanfest. But don't expect a playable Legion on the floor. Don't expect a beta invite. Etc. No big announcement means none of the sort of stuff that people write blog articles about and such.

I know the NDA prohibits you from saying it explicitly but its not hard to read between the lines with your posts lately. I'm just saying what you can't, although I can certainly understand you covering all your bases by denying it.
Helpful hint: One thing the NDA can not make me do is lie. So if you 'read between the lines', and I tell you it's false, then your takeaway from my statement was wrong.

The ability to land a bording team where one guy can turn off the gravity during the firefights means legion would need to realky step up. Frankly CCP does not have the manpower or will to fight at that kind of level right now.
It's better to keep dust ticking over and focus on Valk which won't have any comp in its space.
Um... Valkyrie's in more direct competition with Star Citizen than Legion is. o_o

It's not a question of if, and more a question of how much, of Star Citizen's vision will get axed as development continues. That being said, I think if Star Citizen manages even 50% of what they promise, CCP has a lot to worry about in the near future.
SuperMido, personal opinion, the FPS gameplay won't be the core of it. Hopefully it'll be solid, I'll probably be playing it, but I'm not expecting it to blow away dedicated FPSes either.

Elite: Dangerous is definitely currently far from EVE. So is Star Citizen, which is also playable. (The two games are arguably similar levels of "complete", but one has chosen to call theirs released 1.0, and one has chosen to say theirs is a work in progress.) But both have development plans that will eventually start to heavily encroach on EVE Online.
