Run 60mtrs get a kill, spawns flip, run another 200mtrs get 2 kills, spawns flip, run 600mtrs get killed by a dropship. PSST. Garbage. I mean if your going to lose, your going to lose. Why drag it out???
What do you expect? People are just going to sacrifice themselves quick for your kdr because you have a longer join date?
If people cant win face to face, then they will try something else. if you dont want people to camp in the redline, dont chase them there. Take some time to look at tactics thought the history of warfare. If one enemy is vastly more powerful than the other, the weaker enemy will engage in asymmetrical warfare to wear down the morale of the stronger one, and score quick hit and run attacks that saps overall strength. You take pride in, and have spent 400$ to become the stronger enemy. This is the type of war you can expect to fight.
You expecting people to just sacrifice themselves for your KDR cause you feel you are owed it due to your join date? Thats a crazy sense of entitlement. |

Just have to ask a Vet.
You would jump out of a MCC and land in this little circle of no enter zone under it... with 8 hungry mercenaries waiting for the kill.
We then as players asked for Red-lines so that teams could regroup and push forward to an objective.
CCP Went OVERBOARD with Red-line sizes... Then Further increased them 3 more times between Open beta builds to Uprising.
Red-lines aren't the problem... People being able to continue to gain kills and score war points after being in the red-line after 2-5 mins is.
The lack of Dropships that actively promote a dynamic battlefield...
And very un imaginative spawn mechanics.
You blame CCP alot, but its not CCP that in games making every effort to lock the other team in the redline. Ive been in public matches against squads from your corp, their goal was to drive us into the redline, and not let us out. It wasn't CCP calling orbitals on the dropships I was calling in to try to ferry people out of the redline to fight. Wasnt CCP in the 4 tanks on the hill overlooking our spawn and blasting any other transport. You dont let people out, then complain that people wont leave.
2 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes....do you really think the 5 guys hiding around my redline with 1-7 k-d and 85WP give a damn about points? They are in the redline because there is nothing they can contribute to the fight, and theyd like for the game to end so they can cash out and hope for a more balanced match next time around.
No offense, but alot of the PC corps go around being jackasses like that, and then come here to complain that CCP has let them down. That suddenly a million changes need to be made because players who are 1-7 have had enough of a unbalanced match. You cant just go in and use PC tactics and equipment against new players in militia suits and expect it to improve the game experience. |

Big Burns wrote:DONT FEED ME THIS GARBAGE ABOUT THERE BEING NO WAY FOR THESE GUYS TO CONTRIBUTE TO THEIR TEAM. Dust 514 101. Lesson number 1. UPLINKS. I've been out there and dont sit here and tell me, "There trying" cuz they aint. PERIOD! There is never a f*cking uplink to spawn on when I run solo. Because they didnt learn how to contribute to their team. The first thing any player should go proto in is UPLINKS. PERIOD. Cuz if everyone actually thought about winning, that is where you start.
Except now there is a bandwidth system that is prohibitive to new players. The equipment will disappear and they wont know why, or they will know why and will find out they can only put down very limited amounts, as new players dont have the SP to train medium suit to Lv 3 and then logi to Lv1. So its not that easy anymore.
Big Burns wrote: From there it boils down to gungame.
If you dont have gungame or a plan, then it doesnt matter where or when you spawn in at, your going to get raped and its your own doing. JUST TAKE THE TIME TO PRACTICE AND SHOW INITIATIVE AND YOU WOULDNT NEED A REDLINE. Day 1 of my Dust career, first match was against PFBH's, I ran a militia suit with standard uplinks, as did my squad and we got beat, but we all had over 500WP's. And we never needed a redline. We lost, but we learned how to win.
Again, its much different nowadays. Someone with a proto CR, damage enhancers, and proficiency Lv5 is going to rip apart a frontline fit in the blink of an eye. Veteran players have fittings that deal that kind of damage and soak up the damage of militia weapons no problem. With the odds that unbalanced, the unfavored player has no choice except to attack unconventionally and keep distance. Even if they have a higher acc %, their suit and weapon cant deal and sustain a face to face fight in those circumstances.
