I have a 4 mil Sp alt and it's at same Loualty Rank as my Main. So guess it doesn't matter as far as SP amounts, any alt on that account is same Loyalty Rank Hmm, that's odd.
A couple of things I should mention though: When you make an alt, it gets the same amount of Loyalty Points as your highest LP character. However, they should be separate after that.
I just tested and made an alt. The alt started with the same amount as my main, but after playing a couple of matches, my main's LP was higher than my alt's LP.
Is there any way you can test that?

So Loyalty Rank is the rank that appears beside a characters name? On my HUD it will read something like [Private First Class] Raze Mogis.... How do you promote/get promoted?? Is this it? |

Is this it? Correct, your title of Private First Class is your Loyalty Rank. Remember that as you play, your character bar will fill up indicating your progress toward your next Loyalty Rank. While the bar fills up, the number will go down since it tells you the remaining points left to next rank, not the total Loyalty Rank points you have.
You may also want to keep track of it too. There have been a couple of users that have reported some errors with progression. If you find your bar is decreasing (points to next level increases), make sure to file a ticket to have the GMs look at your account.

Kaze Eyrou wrote:Recently, there were reports of Character Loyalty Ranks being lost (points shown actually INCREASING instead of DECREASING), so I decided to put it to the test. Here are my findings: First, I used two characters that I already have. My main character, Kaze Eyrou, and a quickly made alt. Alt Loyalty Rank: 4 Oct: 280,333 to go 5 Oct: N/A (Control Variable) 6 Oct: N/A (Control Variable) 7 Oct: 280,333 to go 8 Oct: N/A (Control Variable) 9 Oct: 280,333 to go
As you can see, even if you miss a day, your character loyalty rank will not should not drop (increase points shown) by 250 points. If this happens, this is most likely a UI bug. If you have taken pictures of it and there was a discrepancy, please FILE A SUPPORT TICKET to have them look at your account.
Hi Kaze
Have they change this or is it different if you not playing in 4-5 days?
My story short: * I had finally got to loyalty rank 2, and about 400 points beyond. * I log in everyday to get that 6.000 sp bonus (and exp weapons) but do not play everyday. * Couple days ago (last week) I intended to send over my stuff to another character, but suddenly I was back to loyalty rank 1!? * I thought it was enough to log in for those daily loyalty points, didn-Št know you have to play x-amount of battles
Can you tell if this was normal or is it a ticket case? |

Well at this point it doesn't matter...
However, assuming this game was still running, I would have said "file a ticket". There was something wonky going on with it and many people were reporting it wasn't working properly. However, even after my own testing and finding nothing wrong on my end, I still received reports of it not working for some.
My guess: it was something wrong with the coding where it was counting backwards instead of forwards. Any and all points you earned toward loyalty rank would actually make your character LOSE loyalty rank instead of gaining it. Just a guess though.
In any case, come Project Nova, if they implement another such system, I'm going to keep a close eye on it.
(Sorry for the extremely late reply too.)
Long live Dust through Project Nova. Bang.
