Bring up anyone who has the game for at least a month to 10mil sp.
I don't think that the problem is pubstompers, I think it's militia suits fighting guys in Pro gear.
Pros: - More active players everyday, since they won't die as much and stay longer - Less pubstomping since the people who originally fought in militia gear can now put up a fight - A challenge to Vets - More Corps and More PC/ More People who can participate in PC since they have good gear now - A smaller chance of one sided FW games, no more militia in FW - More players to recruit into corps - New players who get this sp won't be able to run pure proto since they probably have little ISK - More sales in sp restarts since a bunch of people will probably not be satisfied in what they skilled in after a week or to try out other play styles
I can't think of any con's rather than someone making a bunch of alt's and getting a bunch of 10mil sp accounts so how bout any account made before December gets it
Why 10mil sp? I have an alt with that much and it's perfect to put up a fight with anyone |

The purpose and rough idea has merit.
BUT that would boost up the amount of alts 'a bit'.
Ten M SP is that much SP that it would, in fact, a type of FOTM alts - created just for the one latest fashion.
People would enjoy Dust a lot more if they accepted the fact that EVERYTHING is subject to change

Brilliant so does this mean I retroactively get 10 Million SP? That would really help me out vs those guys who are tens of millions of SP ahead of me.

Cool then you won't mind right? I just don't think it's fair that they are forced to play in very weak suits against some of the top dogs and if we made the Academy longer it would drive most of the fluff players in the matches, who are really just there to die, into lobby's that are pure militia and make matchmaking WAY longer. CCP knows this, that's why they won't do it, and it's also a matter of time till all the fluff players leave and the daily player count will max at only 20k a day, like it's already starting to. The game is dying and this small effort, that may not even mean much, is just to try to keep Dust breathing longer. |

My friend tried the game on his own and got destroyed in his militia fit, so I gave my buddy an alt with 10mil sp on a gal assault and AR on it and he immediately started wrecking every one. it's just that he was already a great shot, just his fire power and hp couldn't match |

I don't like this idea. I'm all for helping new players like how Eve Online players do, but not like this. This won't teach new players anythings. What needs to be done is to better stabilize matchmaking as it's somewhat out of whack at the moment. Another step to take is to implement tiered matches where meta level restrictions are imposed. The higher the tier of the match, the higher the meta you can use.
This way, players learn as they progress rather than just have everything served to them on a silver platter.

bah, if you got money you can just buy all the SP you need, and you will see the same effects as people buying a 130m SP pilot in EVE. SP means very little when you can't play the game.

Bro we will learn the game while playing to get isk. And if you are talking about boosters, why should we waste our money on a game which has people with PRO Dropsuits? Even if you put 3 active boosters it would take a lot of time to earn some SP. And after a few days of getting stomped we would probably quit the game. |

Giving away lots of SP....not gonna make anything easier for anyone who doesn't know how to play. Included in that, is HOW to invest SP. You think new players in need of the sort of leg-up you are talking about are gonna know what to do with it?
The newer players you talk about who need help need *help*, not 10m SP. They need to run with a squad if they're getting rolled...and not a squad full of noobs either.

They could just remove the weekly skill point cap until you reach 10 or 15mil Lifetime. Oh and make it a sensible number while you're there, I haven't even capped once with it at 750k. The whole idea for a 750k cap was admittedly flawed from the start and should never have been implemented. |

This is dumb it's not going to stop pub stopping it doesn't matter if you have additional sp If your a newb your going to spec into something stupid like corporation (I did it) or something else completely useless. Of they gave me 10million extra sp for a new account there is so much you can do with it if not a newb that a adv suit weapon, modules and equipment
It was just that easy

They done working on a plan. meta bracket matches. sure high sp players will still win but it will be better than protostomper squads that cant win without there q-sync squads in pubs. tier 3 will be a ghost town as the protostompers will be out matched in a fair game. they will all migrate to trying to q-sync tier 1 low meta games were they are more likely to face noobs.

LetMe K1LLYOU wrote:We aint as dumb as you think. If I got 10 million SP, I have already planned for a Minmatar Assault This really makes you look dumb, as if you can't even think for yourself because you're choosing the FotM suit with the unbalanced slot layout simply because everyone else is using it. Min assault is my main suit, and I really wish it had 5/3 like Caldari. Just so all you FotM scrubs would get your dirty hands off my suit. I much preferred it when it had the 5/2 crap slots, it was a totally different suit with a unique play style, and was not commonly used. I felt like an individual for using it, now I just feel like a Min Assault scrub. |

Then don't give xp just give the essential core skills for hp and maybe some of the most used advanced modules. This would leave the choices of dropsuit and weapon to the new player while evening the odds a bit. |
