No one can deny that if you want to play amarr or caldari your in for a bad time. I haven't played a single game in the past week, qsynced or solo for amarr that hasn't ended in a complete and total stomp. Put incentives to play the losing faction, extra salvage/LP/SP anything. It's been HORRIBLE to have loyalty to amarr since FW's inception and its actually gotten worse with the latest nerfs to the scrambler rifle.
I mean i fully expect this to get shut down but the mitari and gal patriots who love their free and effortless wins but this has to be said. It cant be fun for you guys to just steam roll every match. |

IMO, this is how FW should be. I would hate to see extra rewards for fighting for the losing faction. Then people would just fight for whoever is giving the most LP/rewards.

This is how it currently is. People see which side wins the most, then they just pick that side in order to get the winning LP payouts.
You should get equal LP for winning or for losing. (Either way, you showed loyalty to that side)
You should get an ISK reward for winning. (The pay for getting the job done).

Obviously not since there still is a good portion of ammarian supporters who still grind out battles instead of hoping over to minmitar to watch the LP rain from the sky, though that number keeps shrinking every week. |

It's been great being loyal to the Amarr.
First few months we lost big time and finally built the basis of what would be the Militia.
Spend weeks on undefeated streaks after than. Flipped the Warzone within 48 hours and ensuring that a dozen systems went into vulnerable status.
Spent six weeks riding that one out.
Until the Minmatar fought back and brought it back to neutral status..... after the Rouge Wedding most of Amarr FW of the time Quit for good or took long leaves of absence.
That's just the way it went down.
The Junip Crusade of last year was amazing though. Best FW experience this game has presented and we didn't even have Loyalty points.

I don't understand this at all, At the moment you can either choose a battle that will probably be easy or choose a battle that can be hard and you have to wait a long time because most people choose the easy option
I think they should trial giving Caldari or Amarr an LP boost each week, If it gives the player the option of a short wait time balanced game that would be great, or maybe it will stuff things up, A trial would not hurt. |

Could only make FW a bit better and improve the turn out. We are technically Mercenaries so it would be in our best interest to broaden our horizons instead of sticking to the same couple factions. Plus might stop people in GalFW from constantly whining about no one signing up (when they refuse to volunteer).

try getting a squad or 2 together to play the other amarr or caldari FW and communicate, drop those links, and give it your all. That's how you get good at the game. Amarr is some of the best free PC practice you can get (not counting possible suit losses to points earned ratio). so long as you got at least one good squad, then they are fun, hard fought matches and make you THAT much better |

Here is what I think needs to be done to improve FW in general.
1. Expand the tutorials and make them clearly inform the new players that they can select which faction they can fight for. It seems some players don't realize they can do that rather than rely on random selections by Scotty.
2. Increase the incentives to join a faction because you love it rather than because it's a faction that always wins. Long ago, it use to be the Gallente and Minmatar that had their asses handed to them by the Caldari and Amarr on a daily basis. Nowadays, the players that stomped for the Caldari and Amarr are probably stomping for the Gallente and Minmatar. This is likely the result of incomplete LP items across all factions which creates an imbalance on the availability of mercs wanting to join one faction over a another. There is no point for a Caldari or Amarr player to fight so hard for their faction if their faction is missing LP items they depend on so much. The same goes for someone like a Minmatar Ninja Knifer who can't continue knifing due to the lack of a pair of Republic Nova Knives. This cycle will continue forever until the issue is addressed by CCP.
3. Give players more control over which region/constellation/system they can fight in for FW rather than let Scotty continue to do the work. Scotty belongs in pub matches, not FW.
4. Implement features that enable Eve Online players to better coordinate with Dust players in FW. The chat channel can only go so far before it's limits are made apparent. Eve Online has Fleet Finder and a Journal for finding Incursions. Use that as well for better coordinating with Dust players.
On Twitter: @HilmarVeigar #greenlightlegion #dust514 players are waiting.

The problem is the community, most people in this game are lazy asses, selfish and cowards. As soon as there is some kind of resistance they give up. When 1.9 came out with the Apex suits, us Minmatar did stomp the Amarr opposition because we had several chats with plenty of motivated players. But that was during the first week, after that Amarr had the reputation to get stomped and so players just stop trying. Minmatar are not stomping anymore, 90% of the time, we get in take a few points, kill 2 or 3 guys and that's it because on the other side there was one squad trying something and 10 scrubs waiting in the MCC/shooting each other in the redline or whatever dumb thing you can imagine. During my last 10 FW games, my squad may have got 15 kills per game, we're not stomping, there isn't even a true fight and that's boring for us too (but we get decent rewards as we win). I often get in with a crappy team against way better Amarr players, but as they give up after the first death we still win. |

Amarr is just fine for those who know how to play FW, aside from CCPs failure to pay the server bills. All it takes is one full squad because the minmatar rust buckets have their head so far up their ass from playing scrubs that most of them can not contend against a real team.

While it's all well and good that you recognise this.... theres honestly more to it. FW in Dust 514 is now a waste of time and farcy from the competitive scene it once was last year when we fought against SVER, Carbon 7, NAO, and you guys.
The more you look into Dust 514 FW the more you see how pointless it is. Ownership of districts mean nothing, if you don't own a lot of districts in a system then you conquests mean nothing and since you cannot select your locality your battles are pointless anyway and a matter of luck.
Moreover Amarr FW just proved it couldn't care ******* less about Dust 514 bonuses claiming the entirety of the warzone despite bad modifiers and holding it for a week.

I'm in amarr1 and PIE the trouble is there isnt always squad running and no one will join you unless your a certain person. I'm not going to limit my play time to just when those people decide to make a squad. |

There needs to be some isk payout.
I honestly don't care much about any particular faction. The BPOs are something I would like to collect though.
I rode with a decent group of AFW guys for a few matches, and despite them being decent, the FW still doesn't seem worthwhile doing.
A 'good challenge' without a 'good reward' is called a 'waste of time'.
Were this battlefield and no losses were incurred, then fine, challenge it up all you want.
But FW is nothing but a useless isk sink, to collect a few items that have some nice names. (The Specialist SCR is probably one of a handful of decent little items worth having.)
Set your goals high, and shoot for the moon; even if you miss you'll land amongst the stars.

Thats because we have moved to the new channel which is locked thanks to minmatar who would previously only sync against us when we got down to 1 squad and then they would listen in on our comms on top of that. Pretty pitiful right?
There is still a squad finder and the ability to get people in your squad in the warbarge. You would be amazed what a simple capture or defend order will do for a squad of randoms.
Hopefully I will be able to reopen amarr1 soon. Until then use the social tools that are provided in the game to form your own little team and have some fun. Seriously the minmatar can not hold up a fight against 1 full squad on comms 80% of the time right now. |

really? amarr spies have been in our channels as well, so you cant say that this is one sided. and thats primarily why we have little to no OBS, while you guys have OBS from time to time. and thanks to amarr we have our own channel that is locked as well.

It is a game. Ppl need incentives to play. This game is not a requirement to play. You can't treat it like some kind of real war situation of the strongest side wins and then stalemates.
However, more strongboxes and less keys is all we need. Threaten the winning side with more of this and they will stop winning and run to the other side quick.
I'm better than laser focused; I'm hybrid focused.
