Except CCPs servers are completely separate.
Just because you use a Microsoft OS on a Dell PC doesn't mean attacks on their servers would mess with Amazon's servers.
They are completely different companies and the odds of North Korea also attacking CCP for any reason related to the movie are basically non existent.

I thought the North Koreans had a great sense of humor after Kim Jong Un trying hard to look the tip of a phallus and Kim Jong Il trying his best to look like an elderly woman. And look at the message they left I could have sworn they had great humor!

True, but if you get logged out of PSN for any reason, you lose connection to CCP's servers.
It makes sense actually. This is a busy time of year for Sony and PSN. Holiday movie releases, PSN sales. Perfect time to hit them where it hurts most, their pocket book.

Doubt it. Movie's already been cancelled. Nothing more to gain now. Plus I'm pretty sure the full force of the North Korean cyber attack has already been used. There's only so much a country that doesn't know the internet exists can do.

My weird family had a tradition for 2-3 years when I was very young of going to a Chinese restaurant on Christmas Eve (sounds like a scene from the movie A Christmas Story) I know.
Anyway, I would always laugh hysterically, as young children are want to do, when my father would order the pupu platter, for obvious reasons.
My father passed away when I was 10 and we never carried that tradition on after that.

But that's not how it works here! You depend on the SOE servers in order to log on tranquility. So if SOE servers have issue it'll directly impact Tranquility.
It's not a perfect example, but it shows the idea:
Try to go on dust514.com if your Google Chrome/ Mozilla Firefox keeps on crashing. The website is not the one having issues but still cant properly access to it.
Kinda th same thing between these 2 servers. |

Sony as a whole had an archiac security system and server infrastructure..
From their Cellphone network.. To their cellphone billing... To PSN down for like 6 months+? And Credit card information lost for thousands of customers...
To their Computer Division it's self hacked and hardware designs leaked.. To the point where Sony is forced to sell off their computer division...
The only places in the world where it is Touted that North Korea hacked Sony is in the Western Media... Most other independent news Organizations have Other suspicions..
Sony has been under attack for the last 5-6 years...
And what was done at Sony pictures would of taken 6 months upto a year of collecting data to pull off, in the end it took them 2-3 minutes to break in and rip all that data.
If You want to believe the neat story that the evil bad guys in North Korea did it all.. And it is because of one of a hundred spoofs Movies about North Korea and they heard about it so started and elite hacker team a year ago? Then fine.. Go back to watching Fox news and CNN. |
