ugh god.. try wearing a black/yellow proto logi suit.. it might as well have neon sign that says "knife me minmatar scout" all over it..
an academy alt last like 2-3 hours now... if they really want a non challenge there's always that option to go academy alt. the fights there are not exactly boring, there is a lot a zeal amongst the newberries doing frontal assaults on each other in MLT gear, which is what a lot of posters seem to be demanding the game to be- when it already exists in academy.

Squads going from four to six is/was a bigger problem then proto gear. My play style doesn't lend itself to running proto full time but when I do my survival rate in any firefight goes up. Mostly due to me being more diligent in picking my battles but a good portion is because I can take down cheap and militia fits much faster. That's just me running solo, a full squad can really clean up if they get the other team into cheap fits early. Gear helps but the real force multiplier is squad size, not saying team works itself is the problem but a 6 man squad should have something more challenging to do then stomp pubs on a regular basis. The return of Corp battles would do wonders in that regard.

Ran my first proto fitting in 2 months. PRO Calscout and ARR. Rather easymode, but because the redberries were cheap-berries, not squadded protobears. 1 death though, and half the profit goes down the drain. Two, and I'm negative.
Dom. Apocalyptic Destroyer and his Amarrian buds, all in PRO assaults. Only 6 of my team are ever present - the rest are cowering in the MCC. Nothing short of a Sentinel + LAV combo brings him down. I give up, because I'm 1) not a scrub 2) Will lose ISK engaging them.
Verdict: PRO gives an advantage, not going to lie. That advantage is multiplied with a full squad of coherent PRO mates. Then added with blue fodder, and you have a STOMP going. Matchmaking is marred, burned, beaten, and thrown into a coffin.

Tell players to terminate in order to access MCRU's.

If you get beat easily by someone using all proto gear and complain about it, then you should stop blaming others and accept the fact that you simply suck and there is nothing you can do about it. Then you should uninstall the game because you suck way to much to play a simple FPS. Honestly, the last thing we need is pansies like you scrubs refusing to take on a challenge. How is it so hard to understand that when the other team is using proto, you should use your own proto too? Why don't you just use a heavy? That stupid crutch should be more than enough to carry you pathetic ass holes.

I run proto logis when I'm with a squad because of bandwidth. But I'm addicted to BPOs when I run solo. On vehicles I always pull a proto FG out because I love to pop tanks I have no problems with whomever wants to use proto and get great pleasure taking it with BPOs! |

That's not what protostomping means. It encompasses several factors that make pubs one sided.

People who run proto grinded for that gear and they should be entitled to use it. The way I see it, using proto adds more to the diversity the game strives for. I have six weapons and three suits at proto, yet, I only ever use two fittings once every blue moon. I do relatively well using standard gear with a few complex and enhanced modules here and there but as for the suit and weapon, I use basic.
I actually used to run from enemies in proto but recently I've been saying: "I wonder how much damage I can deal in this shiny pink suit I'm in." Normally, I die, but every once in a while I get that last shot in before them. It's actually become more of a sub game for me now.
