And yet the SMG is still far more common than the bolt pistol. The weapon isnt as good as you think it is, its a ****** sidearm unless you are using a shotgun or hmg as a primary, its inferior in dps to all light and heavy weapons, most of which have longer range than the bolt pistol. Its even got less dps than other sidearms iirc. This weapon is balanced.

Sidearms that are good and balanced:
Ion Pistol
Bolt Pistol
Nova Knives
Breach Scrambler Pistol
Breach SMG
SMG
Edit: oh and the flaylock is fine too.

All the rest need to be buffed to the same level as the above sidearms.

I fitted a cal assault with dual BP, and remove scouts from the battle repeatedly, as well as harass heavies while I remain safely out of HMG range. It is a cannon that fits in your hand. The Rail Rifle has to high recoil, the snipers only for a bunch of red line pansies, and the Forge Gun is to kick ass to use all the time. The State will always survive.

You're right, the bolt pistol has a bettter scope, a reasonable range, the same clip size....., and yeah the sniper doesn't have a spool time you just have to sit down and wait about a second weird how it works really almost like an artificial spool up time...., and yes it is a sidearm, so you get to have a sniper without the scope taking up the whole screen in your back pocket after you already have a primary weapon equipped. And it is not balanced... That said, I don't die to it often, and I don't see it used much at all in PC, so I'm not sure anything necessarily needs to be done with it (or the BrScP, which I much prefer over the bolt).

In the right hands, yea it's a beast, but I still get killed by a CR and BAR more then a bolt pistol. It is possible to dodge it, and with it's small mag, it's pretty easy to counter if they're a bad shot. But, I know this game, and since people are still crying about it, it'll get nerfed. So if ANYTHING, just increase the kickback. Leave the damage alone.

It's a great way to manage your overheat.

It really doesn't have any noticeable sacrifices to using over the regular SMG, but has nearly 150% more damage per mag. It also has noticeable less recoil and kick because of the lower rate of fire. The Ion Pistols is still UP. Same with the ScP and AScP. They both need a serious RoF buff and a little it more damage. Home at Last <3
