They are fine as is, if anything i think their resistance bonuses need to be adjusted based on their primary tank and opposing racial weaponry. EX: Amarr has armor resistance against projectiles and shield resistance to plasma, with armor resistance being higher than shield. The HMG is also in need of a few minor adjustments. What you are proposing is something crazy that would be hard to implement in this game and effectively changing the sentinels a whole. Yes, but im dissapointed at how weak sentinels are. You can kill a sentinel with a militia medium. So they kinda need to be changed as a whole. You should be able to do so No, you shouldnt. Maybe 3 or 4 militia yes, but alone. They are way too weak, and if they nerf the plates heavies are going to be absolute ****.
So if one team deploys 16 Sentinels, you want the other team to need 48-64 Militia infantry to take them on?
Ok so lets see, the difference between a Militia Weapon and a Proto one is about 10% DPS so if the other team is entirely fit with proto weapons we can knock off 10% needed so thats down to 43-58 infantry to deal with the Sentinels.
Ok so lets put them all in proto suits now, we'll just assume they have double the HP as a Militia suit which is very liberal and not accurate but I'll give you the benefit on the doubt for an example. So if they have double HP then you could theoretically cut the number of needed infantry in half yeah? So now you need 21-29 fully fit proto infantry to fight the 16 sentinels. Too bad the most you can deploy is 16, so by your definition, non-sentinels would be screwed.
Do you see why your logic is flawed?

By making it so that these sentinels would need a great amount of sp to be used, it would mean that you couldnt use them in academy. And after academy there would be people with the recruired weapons to take them down more easily. But that would of course mean that everyone would run anti-sentinel like the do av right now.
But this was only a rough idea, and i knew it would need working so it would be balanced. But thank you for your opinnion, it was actually a really good one.
Well if you go with what Fox said and make this actually an MTAC which would be considered a vehicle, it's a bit more reasonable since vehicles have a hard limit of how many can exist in a match at once. So I'd go with that approach, even if the existence of MTACs are a bit of an ongoing joke since Fanfest 2013
