Come on, 1 Grenade for a drophip, they need to fly low to pick up people. If everybody and his mom can tak it out with a AVnade they'll stay away, which excludes a certain gameplay element from the game.

I think this is more of a suggestion because your raging that somebody killed you and you had no AV, or you did but it wasn't strong enough. May I suggest that you suggest for AV nades to provide 3 nades per fitting instead of 2. A proto packed AV grenade has enough punch to kill a dropship with three throws.

You are right, they should, but OP is talking about ONE AVgrenade being enough to kill a dropship.

You are right, they should, but OP is talking about ONE AVgrenade being enough to kill a dropship.
TBH, I'd support it, if they don't magnetize to Dropships
If you're in a place that I can hit you with an AV grenade and I actually hit you (rather than tossing in your general direction and the magnetism cause he to actually hit you) then you should pay the consequence for not paying attention.

2. If you need the AV nade to magnetize to hit your target which is the size of a barn you should uninstall now, AV should not magnetize ever and blow up when they make contact with a vehicle

You need multiple sources of av to kill vehicles, meaning you need to be 100% dedicated to av to kill one. The problem with that is that you lose all anti infantry capabilities, and yet remain extremely easy to kill by vehicles. Granted I feel dropships are too easy to kill.

I remember when av grenades killed gunlogis in one or two hits long ago, then proto vehicles were romoved and av got nerfed

By the way the easy fix, keep everything the same on av grenades but just make it like the plasma cannon in the sense that it completely knocks a dropship offcourse, if he's not a scrub pilot it may not kill him but picking up his friends will be extremely difficult

nah.
PLC makes derps rock so hard they preety much die from crashing. and froges are highly effective VS derps,

Part of the dropship description is how one can come in while under fire to extract mercs from a contested area while providing cover fire. Unfortunately, neither of these are possible.
One AV grenade is way too small an investment to destroy something that requires skill (and a ton of ISK if the ADS) to use effectively.

A single AV player is very sufficient to destroy vehicles if they linger for long, and they are plenty likely to drive them away (getting plenty of WP in the process.) And heavy AV is more than capable of killing vehicles solo, but due to the nature of the heavy frame actually requires sacrificing anti infantry capabilities (looking at you Commando.)
Personally, I'm fine with dropships (more specifically, ADSs) becoming easier to kill, but having an equal trade off in offensive power: make them glass cannons that can violate an area with heavy firepower but they are countered comfortably by a solo AV player - currently a single Swarmer will almost certainly run off a dropship (likely getting at least 75 WP) and has a reasonable chance of destroying it unless it is a solo, proto fit (ie, heavy extender and booster or multiple hardeners) and has a decent pilot.
Quick thought: what about the ADS getting a massive fitting bonus to fit large turrets and having a bit tweak to EHP and fitting space? I guess I'm looking more specifically at the large missile turret, anyway just a thought.

1. Swarms and AV were utterly broken at that time - 400m invisible missiles which go around about 12 corners but if you did have your mods at the ready you could take it and survive, fact is they are still broken and always have been, would be better if they were removed completely for a rebalance
2. FG at that time were more balanced
3. At the current time you can solo vehicles with all types of AV they have been weakened that much, i can tell you now with the old vehicles and modules they would not generally go down without a fight
4. In comparision to old and now, old was tougher vehicles and could survive even against the obv broken SL and AV nades which put out extreme amount of dmg, now vehicles can die to AV weapons which dont even put out half the damage per shot that they do now because vehicles have been dumbed down and destroyed |

We've been doing this for a long, long time, through multiple games, too.
AV is utterly broken as it is. It's not a deterrent, it's a nuclear end-all solution. Chromosome was ideal as far as balance went. Tanks whacked the hell out of each other, leaving infantry alone. But infantry wanted to be the ones to do it, and all alone at that, so came over here to complain about it, and voila, tanks got nerfed.

Fact is, tanks are far too weak, and AV is far too strong. You don't want to admit it, because you like the current meta of AV being the nuclear end-all option against vehicles. You don't want the status quo to change.
