RE's are supposed to be used as traps as you stated. They are a special form of equipment used by being placed and triggered when the user wants it to explode.
A grenade is a form of ammunition and should be restocked in a nano hive. Thats the reason they don't do as much damage as an RE.
RE's are Equipment and as equipment should be treated like Drop Links and Nano Hives and only restocked at the supply depot.
The comparison of throwing a Core Locus all day and no complaints vs an RE is invalid on 3 fronts
Core Locus vs RE 1. Cost: 14160 vs 1500 2. Damage: 600 vs 1250 3: Skil: lvl 5 vs lvl 1
If you want to murder a proto suit solo with an RE then setting a trap and luring them is perfectly fine. But being able to throw RE's, triggering them, replenishing with a nano hive, rinse and repeat, needs to stop. Mindlessly spamming RE's is the problem NOT using them to kill proto suits as you say.
Good for you if you lure a proto suit around a corner and blow it up working as intended, throwing RE's grenade style not as intended.

Geo Esp wrote: So in each instant the Proto still dies and still rages, anyways i see what ya mean. How 'bout this? Infantry remotes that are tossed like proxies (not very far) and only do damage to infantry, and an av one that can be tossed but do no damage to infantry or at the max of 300hp so that if you do manage to toss them around a whole team then every body not wearing there precious proto suits die. Anyway, if a scout snuck up on a solo proto and tosses c4, then that means they just decide to kill them with a c4, they could of done it with knife lol "c4 doesn't kill people, people kill people" just some pro-c4 humor. But honestly I think they are fine the way they are, If you run proto in a pub you have to know that you are still capable of dying, they shouldn't have to make exceptions every time you die. Same way you can still be run over by an LAV no matter what suit you're in. It's a matter of awareness.
Good idea but thats what grenades are for.
Again Im not against killing proto with RE's. If your running proto suits in pubs then you risk the loss of your suit.
My qq is that RE's are equipment and should NOT be replenished by a nano hive period. If you want an explosive to be replenished by nano hives there are grenades.
RE's are used for traps as you stated. planed out and executed they should be rewarded with multiple kills.
Standing on a ledge throwing RE's one after another, having them replenished from nano hives is too much.
Im not saying that RE's need anything more than being restocked at a supply depot like any other piece of equipment. When you use your allotted amount your done, until you get to a supply depot and resupply yourself. All the qq about rail rifle damage, combat rifle damage, forge guns loosing their splash because it was to powerful against infantry, how is the RE any different. A level 1 RE does 1250 Damage 5M Radius A level 1 Grenade does 300 damage 6m Radius A Militia Forge does 1200 damage only on a direct hit it takes some skill and a little bit o luck.
RE's are simply to powerful to be used like a grenade. The ability to wipe out any suit in a 5m radius non stop is the definition of over powered. You say you played during beta, then you remember when they changed the amount of grenades carried and the replenishment cost at a nano hive because individuals did nothing but spam grenades. This is the same thing only with 4x the damage. If your so hung up on killing proto suits in pubs then by all means do it with out being a scrub, get a squad together and go proto hunting.
And before you say anything about me protostomping I almost never run anything above advance in pubs, and NO I don't care about my KDR Im a logi and believe in my signature.

The nerf the remotes got is enough because everybody has the chance to run away because the delay and the Beep tone should warn you. If somebody is too lazy to run or just too stupid to remove it or whatever, it is not my fault and they deserve it to get crushed by the explosion.
It isn't a trap if you run out a door being chased. Traps are planned ahead you place the remote then lure people to it.
Throw the remote in front of you and continue to run when time is up guess what they will still be in the blast, yes you take the chance of not being out of it also, but that is what happens when your running for your life.
