4 RE's makes a sad unicorn horn on the front of your LAV, you need to have at least 10 to make a truly majestic Unicorn LAV |

I didnt like the tactic (same way i didnt like dropship ramming) but with the addition of vehicle passive scans, it is now much easier to see them coming at you. i dont really mind them nowadays, because i have a chance to stop them before they impact.

Very true.. And if u see me shooting my rifle at a passing LAV, cuz about 2/10 times I spray a few into the front of one, it had remotes on it and went bye bye.. I'll use a handful of ammo destroy a vehicle any day of the week |

Most competitive fit I can make for a Maddie that actually does well for me is a Proto Rail, two Adv Armors, and a basic rep with an Adv Nitro slapped on.
Granted, this required maxing turret operation as well as four bloody ranks in Rail Optimization... But still hilariously woefully inadequate to any Gunnlogi fit of equal investment both against other tanks as well as infantry.

Not it was unfair that with less than 100,000 ISK you could make an instant kill magic homing missile that moved at 100kmph and had the on board guidance slightly more intelligent than a raccoon but still enough to take it directly into the hull of its intended target.
And with a many "hyuk hyuks" the on board guidance re-spawns to do it all over again........
This is an invalid argument. First of its not "insta kill magic homing missile". If you are that bad of a tanker that the moment someone starts the engine on a J-LAV you consider your death imminent, then maybe you need more practice. Its piloted by a human prone to error but hellbent on sharing some of the pain your tanks been dealing out.
Commander Bolt is right when he says the ONLY problem was switching to a free suit. if someone had to keep their mine fit for the suicide run, thats the suit would cost about 40,000. Plus 20,000 for the LAV and thats 60,000ISK; the cost of a base HAV. If someone wants to burn 60,000ISK going after your tank, what difference is it if its a suicide LAV at that cost or a forge fit at that cost or a double swarm commando at that cost. All those fits at that price range could solo demolish a 100,000ISK HAV. My 75K shield HAV could demolish a 100,000ISK tank.
The problem with you, and this community at large, is that you all expect everything to be done textbook fashion. This is the way to do that, this is the way to do this, ect. Then when someone comes along and does something you weren't expecting, you seek to invalidate it. It doesnt matter if you like it or not....do you still have the affected tanks? No? they were destroyed. You lost, cased closed. Thats what I say when a proto fit shotguns my milita fit in the back.
You got hit and killed by a J-LAV because you weren't paying attention. You had no situational awareness. Its your job as an HAV pilot to have situational awareness and be paying attention. Dont blame the LAV for hitting you, blame yourself for your failure to prevent or stop it. And be glad it wasn't an Imperial owned vehicle you lost due to complacency. |

I don't seek to invalidate clever gameplay..... but ramming a jeep packed with explosives into a tank is not clever and its generally speaking a poor mechanic IMO.

Thinking further,
A. I hope once fixed we can still place all 12+ remote explosives on a Jihad Vehicle.
B. I assume now there wont be the option to switch to a free suit after placing remotes.
Basically this is a huge huge nerf to Kamikaze LAV`s. My main concern is the ability to place ALL remote explosives. ISK concerns come second.
Once the bandwidth numbers are fixed you will be able to stack plenty of remotes as long as you use a proto logi. The nerf was to free jihad jeeps, you are now going to have to spend 60-70k if you wanna cheap shot a tank.
I actually wish this was not the case as I also loved going J Jeeping every once in a while when a tanker pissed me off.

He means the bandwidth fix so be can drop that many period.. And once the bandwidth is fixed, u will have free LAVs with a crap ton of remotes on them again |

Because you arent saying anything. EXPLAIN how it would be for free. How does that work with bandwidth?

Its an act of desperation. Thats the thing about warfare. Its called the Jihad Jeep, but during WW2 kamikazee pilots did some extensive damage to some ships and forced the U.S. Navy to change its way of doing things to counter the new threat. This is the same thing.
An HAV driver might not want to stop farming infantry with an Ion Cannon to chase down and pick off that LAV thats been buzzing around. Its a choice that could prove fatal. When it does, next time he sees a LAV buzzing around, hes going to break off his assault on the infantry to focus on the new threat. Sometimes though, it will just be a regular LAV driving around that will spook a tank. Thats where the strategic depth comes in. It forces tankers to regard all LAVs as a credible threat and change their tactics accordingly. |

You're killing me smalls lol.. Read the whole thread please.. I'll explain again.. Not everyone can do this but still..Step 1) bring in logi with stupid amount of remotes. Step 2) call in blueprint LAV. Step3) load up the LAV with remotes.. Step 4) change into apex logi.. Ta-da!! :P |

i guess u better find some more av to take out that tank then not do it the unskilled way and i think remotes need a simple nurff make them placed not thrown because its not a grenade to detonate on contact |
