So a Nova Knife bonus along with whatever it already has is bad?
So you want to deny a bonus that will make sense lore wise and have no effect on the other bonus(es) because you like the other bonus(es)?

Lore wise, Minmatar invented most of the missiles and torpedoes and bombs in eve. Finding out that minmatar also gets the bonus to swarm launchers wasn't that surprising to me.
What if... minmatar scouts got a 5% per level explosion radius bonus to splash weapons, equipment, and grenades, and can throw explosives and grenades 10% further per level, but the caldari get to have the nova knives?

rattati has said it himself eve is NOT dust, and i'm pretty sure hes not gonna screw over someones sp choices just for the reason "i want a knife bonus"

scan precision did invalidate my sp choices, if you look at the old threads concerning it, i fought the removal with all my being.
but the range bonus in no way broke the suit and the fact a dampening bonus was added too improved it and replacing either "PASSIVE" bonuses with a "CIRCUMSTANTIAL" bonus is idiotic

That "lore" is a player-created forum post. It says as much in the wiki.
It doesn't indicate it was adopted as canon.
