i'm a speed scout the range bonus helps a ton with providing intel, leave my bonus alone and quit trying to add a circumstantial bonus that **REQUIRES** you to fit a particular item!!!!!!!!!

So a Nova Knife bonus along with whatever it already has is bad? So you want to deny a bonus that will make sense lore wise and have no effect on the other bonus(es) because you like the other bonus(es)?
rattati has said it himself eve is NOT dust, and i'm pretty sure hes not gonna screw over someones sp choices just for the reason "i want a knife bonus"

scan precision did invalidate my sp choices, if you look at the old threads concerning it, i fought the removal with all my being.
but the range bonus in no way broke the suit and the fact a dampening bonus was added too improved it and replacing either "PASSIVE" bonuses with a "CIRCUMSTANTIAL" bonus is idiotic
