Just for fun I bought 5 keys to open my strong boxes and I got
Special Edition frontline special edition frontline neo assault ak0 caldari c-1 darths gio scrambler
I would say that is a decent mix of salvage and we will see if the types stay as good when not using AUR keys.
Anyway my actual feedback is that the keys cost a little too much AUR imo. Somewhere in the area of 4-500 AUR would likely lead to people being a bit more likely to take a gamble with purchasing a key.
Oh and the orange notification bubble has got to go. Once inventory is checked these should disappear. We already deal with boosters being shoved down our throats by an annoying orange bubble, please dont make these the same way. I am already at a point where I miss mail and forget to restock thanks to the glowing buy booster bubble. |

I am happy you feel the mix is good, we gave it quite a lot of thought. The undelying premise was that you should never believe you got less than your moneys worth, not exactly what you wanted maybe, but it's not a win or lose slot machine for sure.
Other than the special edition frontline suits I would say that I felt like I got my moneys worth. I definitely had a little fun with the surprise of what is it going to produce. All in all out of 5 times I would consider it 2 wins and 3 losses but not severe losses. This system will be GREAT once we get simple trading.
Good job guys.

Malleus Malificorum wrote:As a suggestion could we maybe get an 'officer store' where you redeem tokens (light, heavy, sidearm, grade 1-3) so that we don't get loot we don't want?
I for example only use lasers, scramblers and the occasional magsec. In fact I think that getting redemption tokens for suits would be nice too as I'm currently offered logic loop scout suits and some of my alts are offered other suits they can't/don't use.
This will be less needed once we get simple trading. People opening boxes and trading officer weapons is going to make the game a lot more fun. |

This would be pretty awesome.

Auris Lionesse wrote:how many suits do you get? random? or is it just 1.
I dont remember the number of the others but the Amarr assault ak0s i got like 18 of them.
Based on what I saw you receive things based on your skills.
For example The Caldari suits I received 'Neo' suits (I am not skilled into these at all) The Amarr suits I got regular proto (I am level 5) The officer weapon was a ScR (I am level 5 prof)
Aside from the officer weapon which can not be valued I would say I got right around 800 AUR worth of items so this is likely the basis for how many of which suits or weapons you get. |

This. I am interested in the salvage rate from matches.
Getting like 10 boxes day from missions while having a terrible salvage rate would be a little too cash grab imo.

Somehow I personally find using giveaway AUR gear practical. But again on the other hand on all full char resets I did use for example complex aur shield extenders (when shield was the only choice). Aaand just realised: the op used five keys to five boxes, not just one box with that pile of stuff. My comments were based on wrong assumption that a box has random number of item stacks given out. In that case having only one stack would be weak in comparison.
I have never bought complex AUR plates but I assume them to be somewhere around 40-50 AUR each. So basically you bought them while having the chance of getting an officer weapon. It seems like the number of something it gives is calculated to be near 800 AUR. All in all its something that makes the game more interesting.
Hopefully they increase key drops before people start screaming pay to win (even more)
