The idea is to take the current assault and make them into the "1" version of assault suits and then releasing a more racial tank specialized assault and branding it the "2" assault. For example for the Caldari, the Ck.2 assault would be one that sacrifices armor for an equal amount of shields.
For the gallente the gk.2 will sacrifice more shields and shield repair for armor and armor repair.
The amarr will sacrifice shields and shield rep for more armor.
Minmatar will sacrifice both armor and shields for better repair systems and speed.
The 0 brand models should be reserved for EWAR specialized assault suits, if ans when more specializations are released.
For those that don't know in beta there was just the Caldari assault and two variants of it, the vk.1 and the vk.2. The vk.1 was a armor and shields but slightly more specialized in armor usage, while the vk.2 was specialized in shield usage and wa amazing.

Editted OP with a spreadsheet.
Changed my mind on renaming the 0 brand suits to 1 since it would be a lot of work along with adding the 2 brand suits, so instead the 0 brand suits will remain what we have and then the 1 brand suits will have the more specialized tank.

I think the delays should be reduced on the mk.0 as it's the shield one, and the mk.1 have the mk.0 delays as it's the armor one. The mk.1 could have a little armor rep buff to balance it and make it an interesting armor specialised dual tanked suit.
I cant do anything with the mk.0 since that is the standard suit. The mk.1 I made it a shield tanked suit, as the mk.0 is a dual tanked suit. Minmatar are predominantly speed and shield tanked, so for the shield tanked mk.1 speed was slightly reduced (still fastest assault suit) and delays were reduced and shield increased, since this suit now focuses on shields with a heavy shield tank, and some regulators the mk.1 suit would be amazing with some kin catz.

Did you update the spreadsheet? It's not what I see on it ^^ It's written that you gave a armor buff on it instead of a Shield buff. And then there's another version.. Could you clear this? Thanks :)
Ooops I see my mistake I reversed the values for armor and shields on accident, fixed now :)

The vk.0 will not me much better than the traditional assault, but give them a great advantage in their side (armor or shield)
In this way, a Caldari Assault vk.0 would be an amazing shield tanker, but can't make dual tanking (yeah some days ago I've seen a Caldari Assault with 450 hp armor... So sad...)
And this thing would give to the veterans an other thing to skill into. But not make them better than traditional assault dropsuit, I think, is better. just SPECIALIZATION.
(***) and change the PG/CPU. For example a Caldari Assault vk.0 should have more cpu and less pg than the ck.0 assault.

Well that's more for type II suits, these suits do not sacrifice nor gain anything over the regular suits so the idea was to have these be released alongside regular suits.

Yep, although now I don't remember if I got the naming right because I remember a type a suit and a type b suit gonna have to do research lol. Regardless, the way they were setup you unlocked a new suit every level, so you unlocked the proto vk type b at level 4 and the type a at level 5 iirc.

Ok so I made some mistakes with my wording because I personally forgot the naming structure of the original suits.
At standard level we had:
Type-I (armor) Type-II (shields)
Advanced:
A-series (armor) B-series (shields)
Proto:
Vk.0 (armor) Vk.1 (shields)
My mistake was that I was using vk.1 and vk.2 and that's because I was thinking of the type one and type 2 suits cuz I was a noob and didn't have proto back then :)
