Please list any other roles that will be reinforced by bandwidth.
First one: You will still be able to change into combat-ready dropsuits (assuming you meant another class like assaults) after deploying equipment. You just lose a few deployed equipment in the order you placed them due to lower BW. Working as intended.
Second one: No other roles are suppose to be reinforced by this. The whole point of this change is to reinforce ONLY the logi role and make sure scouts no longer outclass the logis.

It's not that we can't change dropsuits period. It's that we'll lose previously dropped equipment if we do. That makes changing suits less viable during a match if you drop equipment and fight in the battle.
Again, that's the whole point.

By the way, stop making duplicate threads on the same topic. You already made one earlier on this so stick with that. I'm reporting this thread as a duplicate.

You are incapable of seeing how the issues are not the same? This one is to discuss roles that will specifically result as an effect of bandwidth. This one is to discuss possible ways to deal with the problem. The other one is a direct argument against bandwidth. Don't be thick.
No. This is still the same topic. You're just trying to disguise it as a slightly different topic. Your OP still invariably leads to the same topic as before. Again, this is a duplicate and you are just butt hurt that you can no longer reap the benefits of having all that equipment to farm WPs from while roaming around in your assault suit.

I see that you have nothing to bring to the table beyond the first two stable strategies that I mentioned in my OP. You, sir have not contributed materially to the direction of the thread. Any digression rests on your head. Do you see any additional strategies that could be applied subsequent to the implementation of bandwidth? If so, I would be interested in hearing about your ideas
Whatever.

If you want WPs, put together a squad and use the defend order while defending an objective (after 1.10). I'm sure you can talk to some excellent squad leaders who will figure out how to farm WPs without having to depend much on equipment BW. And since repair tools don't have BW, you can farm WPs from that as well. Intel Assists from active scanners is another good WP farming method. If your squad can do a combination of all of the above, you're good for WPs.
Besides, most of my WPs are from stabbing snipers and lone heavies, hunting and destroying enemy equipment, and hacking everything in sight. Very rarely do I ever get a match where the majority of my WPs come from uplinks which are just 2 active at the most anyways.

Should is a normative statement; a direct reflection of your own personal values. In my opinion, I should perform a battle function while I see a need for it and then move on to address the next action item. If my team has no uplinks on the field and I see fit to drop 5 in strategic locations, then the only proof of the value of my actions is the outcome of the battle. This will eventually be reflected in mu ranking. If we were able to compare mu rankings, then we could determine which strategy works most of the time and classify one as more stable than the other. Dauth Jenkins wrote:Also, people have always run ADS with Links. why would bandwidth change anything? Bandwidth will solidify that as a prominant strategy for high WP earners. That strategy will be able to earn more WP than a transport dropship. In the past, someone could use a transport DS to deploy uplinks and then finish the round as infantry, possibly yielding more WP than an ADS. After bandwidth, that will change, giving the WP advantage to logi + uplink + ADS.
A small squad that doesn't have a logi can technically farm enough WPs for an EMP warbarge strike which I foresee will happen very often to clear out areas with heavy equipment presence. I'm just not sure if they will be able to have the same "through the wall" effect as the flux grenades I throw. For example: If I drop an EMP strike on a roof of a building, will any equipment that's one floor down from the top be affected?
This will likely reinforce the logi role even more because now there are ways to knock them out en mass and the team will depend heavily on logis to replenish those lost equipment. This is why strategic placement of equipment will be most important.
