Big WP roles reinforced by bandwidth.
Because we will no longer be able to change into combat-ready dropsuits after deploying equipment, our vehicles will have to meet that need.
Air Support Logi + Uplinks + ADS Because having uplinks out is huge WP, and ADS kills are easy WP, prepare to see this role reinforced by bandwidth. Gone are the days of delivering uplinks via transport dropship and then returning to an infantry role.
Ground Support Logi + Nanohives/Proxies + Tank Because having equipment out is huge WP, and Tank kills are easy WP, prepare to see this role reinforced by bandwidth. Gone are the days of deploying equipment and then changing to a more combat ready fitting.
Please list any other roles that will be reinforced by bandwidth.

Why wont you? In The patch notes the bandwidth cost of uplinks isn't showed so say for example it is like nanohive=4 db/s
You can spawn in a logi, put down 4 uplinks where you want and then switch to an assault. You ll have your 4 uplinks still working and you'll be in a combat suit. You'll just not be able to blindly spam equipments everywhere.
To make you think how you are using your equipments is exactly CCP aim.

I was already VERY INTENTIONAL with how I used my equipment. Thanks for the reminder, CCP.

Of course you can change into combat ready roles after deploying equipment. What you can't do is drop all of your equipment and expect all of it to support you in your new "combat ready" role.
If you want to drop some uplinks down, go for it. Just don't expect to put down five uplinks and two triage nanohives so that your "battle ready" sentinel can reap all of the WP while sitting on your hives.
I just read your previous post where you said that you didn't even know that Equipment Bandwidth was something that the community supported -

I always keep a nanohive on my assaults since there is never a reliable logi around when I need one. As soon as I deploy it, poof, there goes one or more of my uplinks.
You know why changing dropsuits during battle will not be viable. Don't be coy.

First one: You will still be able to change into combat-ready dropsuits (assuming you meant another class like assaults) after deploying equipment. You just lose a few deployed equipment in the order you placed them due to lower BW. Working as intended.
Second one: No other roles are suppose to be reinforced by this. The whole point of this change is to reinforce ONLY the logi role and make sure scouts no longer outclass the logis.

Certain stable strategies will arise for generating WP, such as the ones I listed.
It's not that we can't change dropsuits period. It's that we'll lose previously dropped equipment if we do. That makes changing suits less viable during a match if you drop equipment and fight in the battle.

No. This is still the same topic. You're just trying to disguise it as a slightly different topic. Your OP still invariably leads to the same topic as before. Again, this is a duplicate and you are just butt hurt that you can no longer reap the benefits of having all that equipment to farm WPs from while roaming around in your assault suit.

Maybe, you should lrn2equipment, and run fits w/ the equipment you want on it, if you want that gear. And then throw out gear that matches the bandwidth of that gear. Instead of getting upset that you now must learn the art of compromise.

I see that you have nothing to bring to the table beyond the first two stable strategies that I mentioned in my OP. You, sir have not contributed materially to the direction of the thread. Any digression rests on your head.
Do you see any additional strategies that could be applied subsequent to the implementation of bandwidth? If so, I would be interested in hearing about your ideas

If you want WPs, put together a squad and use the defend order while defending an objective (after 1.10). I'm sure you can talk to some excellent squad leaders who will figure out how to farm WPs without having to depend much on equipment BW. And since repair tools don't have BW, you can farm WPs from that as well. Intel Assists from active scanners is another good WP farming method. If your squad can do a combination of all of the above, you're good for WPs.
Besides, most of my WPs are from stabbing snipers and lone heavies, hunting and destroying enemy equipment, and hacking everything in sight. Very rarely do I ever get a match where the majority of my WPs come from uplinks which are just 2 active at the most anyways.

People able to do both is broken. As a point was made earlier in another of your threads regarding the same topic, its as if the sentinel dropped the hives and links. Which is hilariously OP (a 1500 HP HMG wield Juggernaut also dropping his own hives and Links.) Nice.
Play either Logi w/ plenty of equipment, Assault with a few bits of equipment, or a Heavy w/ None. Its balance. Slayers still have Equipment, just not the cream of the slayers.

there's a reason i run a visiam scrambler rifle on my logi suit. if your going to drop equips, you shouldnt be dropping them all and then switching suits. you should be following your team, dropping 1 whenever neccissary. Also, people have always run ADS with Links. why would bandwidth change anything?

Should is a normative statement; a direct reflection of your own personal values. In my opinion, I should perform a battle function while I see a need for it and then move on to address the next action item. If my team has no uplinks on the field and I see fit to drop 5 in strategic locations, then the only proof of the value of my actions is the outcome of the battle. This will eventually be reflected in mu ranking. If we were able to compare mu rankings, then we could determine which strategy works most of the time and classify one as more stable than the other.
Dauth Jenkins wrote:Also, people have always run ADS with Links. why would bandwidth change anything?
Bandwidth will solidify that as a prominant strategy for high WP earners. That strategy will be able to earn more WP than a transport dropship. In the past, someone could use a transport DS to deploy uplinks and then finish the round as infantry, possibly yielding more WP than an ADS. After bandwidth, that will change, giving the WP advantage to logi + uplink + ADS.

A small squad that doesn't have a logi can technically farm enough WPs for an EMP warbarge strike which I foresee will happen very often to clear out areas with heavy equipment presence. I'm just not sure if they will be able to have the same "through the wall" effect as the flux grenades I throw. For example: If I drop an EMP strike on a roof of a building, will any equipment that's one floor down from the top be affected?
This will likely reinforce the logi role even more because now there are ways to knock them out en mass and the team will depend heavily on logis to replenish those lost equipment. This is why strategic placement of equipment will be most important.

Tourists will stop touristing;
Legit scouts will place links down so the much slower and not as stealthy logi can spawn there
Logis spawn and lay down the rear and the forward support lines.
Logis complain they run out of equipment too easily.
CCP Buffs numbered carried and weakens the effect of each deployable making them much more disposable and mobile.
Assaults get their buff.
Bonuses move to module based on all classes

This is my prediction.
Map: Line Harvest
I sprint to objective D and hack it. Jeez it sounds like the enemy is calling in a lot of tanks. Wow, looks like nobody on my team is deploying proxies. I had better deploy 15 proxies in key locations. Oh, wait, I can only deploy 9 at a time now, since bandwidth. I get killed after deploying proxies and look at the map. Oh jeez, nobody deployed uplinks. I had better deploy uplinks in 5 key locations. Oh, but if I do that then the proxies will disappear. I guess spawn points are more important than proxies, so I will have to make the sacrifice. I deploy 5 uplinks and my proxies disappear. Later in the match I want to place 3 REs near an objective. Dang, I'll have to sacrifice some of my team's uplinks for REs on that objective. I guess uplinks are more important, and REs aren't so dependable anyway so I wont use the REs this time. Later in the match, I'm running low on ammo since everyone is wearing a heavy suit and i want to use one of my nanohives, but decide that in the long run, my uplinks will make more WP for me than the extra ammo I will get from my nanohive, so i die due to running out of ammo.
In the end, bandwidth has constrained an experienced player who had his team's best interests in mind, forcing unreasonable tradeoffs, when he needed to fulfill multiple roles because nobody else on the team had enough experience to make those contributions.

Why wont you? In The patch notes the bandwidth cost of uplinks isn't showed so say for example it is like nanohive=4 db/s You can spawn in a logi, put down 4 uplinks where you want and then switch to an assault. You ll have your 4 uplinks still working and you'll be in a combat suit. You'll just not be able to blindly spam equipments everywhere. To make you think how you are using your equipments is exactly CCP aim. wrong as i saw with uplink cost assaults could only field 2

Tourists will stop touristing;
Vehicle variants are brought back in. This is my prediction. Map: Line Harvest I sprint to objective D and hack it. In the end, bandwidth has constrained an experienced player who had his team's best interests in mind, forcing unreasonable tradeoffs, when he needed to fulfill multiple roles because nobody else on the team had enough experience to make those contributions. dont forget its gonna be even worse because of the solo 300wp flux strikes with 50m radius
