With the coming changes to the meta shifting to an EWAR focus, it is very obvious armor suits will struggle to remain competitive. To summarize my reasoning :
1) dampeners are the better module, provide -25% and have no penalty, because low slot they are useless or close to useless for an armor tank 2) precision enhancers are bad compared to dampeners, provide -20% and HAVE a penalty to your profile. So these can't be used on armor suits since we can't sacrifice tank to counter the penalty with dampeners. 3) a good EWAR armor suit will have less hp, less speed, and less repair than a good EWAR shield suit. Equally what balances out the both is that armor suits have slightly higher damage output, which also adds to making precision enhancers not an option.

Dampeners were supposed to give a scan precision reduction, no?
I find it great that you have to niche your fittings eWAR capability. This will in turn force people to chose a tank type, and not mix shield and armor.
You will probably start seeing more race tanked fittings like this one: http://www.protofits.com/fittings/view/1261/9121

Discuss 1, armor has been far too dominant for far too long. 2, its good to see change 3, shield suits have been gimps for far too long (excluding cal scout.. F them in the A with a fist full of rusty corn-cob holders) 4, armor suits can still get decent tanks/buffers even WITH ewar moduals.. boo hoo i need to fit a precission and not 3x complex damage mods Boohoo...

When I was going through it I never saw anything about a penalty to dampeners.

Umm... Yeah no reason to be a dickhead, anyways the problem isn't fitting precision mods its that dampeners are > precision mods so there is no point in fitting them if you will always lose.
And no shield suits are in no way gimped, I have proto cal and proto gal, and I mostly use my caldari suit unless in an extremely cqc map where I will either use a shotty scout or a gal assault.

Dampeners NEED to work like the cloak dampening, you get reduced scan range when you put dampeners on your suit.
Definately, specially if using precision enhancers will make you show up more

Also, range amps should reduce your scan precision.
And then precision enhancers should increase your profile (like in the proposal). nowp

If a person was stupid enough to engage a high hp suit out in the Open with no cover 1v1 and duking it out then yeah, no **** the High hp suit wins if you guys have the same weapon at the same range.
But things are never that black and white like most Dust players would love to think.
You can easily counter your disadvantages if you at least give it a moment of thought.
The suit's slow, stay at range engage at range. Just make sure you get the drop on him first. In this new ewar world shields suits will be at an even bigger advantage with being able to know where more people are to stay away from combat that's not in their preferred range.
It's also important to ask, what weapons and what ranges do you typically engage enemies because you can't play however you choose to with whatever you want, a lot of players fail to realize this.
I had one idiot in local that was complaining about not getting kills at long range with the Plasma Rifle (which is the same with fools crying about RR not fighting well at close range) we told him that he'd have to change his weapon to be able to do this and he said that this [the game] was bullshit and he was quitting Dust.
If this is the mentality of most Dust players, which seems to be more and more likely by the day, then by the far chance Legion actually comes out only for the PC, I'll be glad to leave the console idiots behind. Thinking while fighting is too hard for them because they've been babied by all the generic FPS games in the last ten years.

So why can my shield suit have decent buffer + rep + dampening but my armor suit can't?
Also how come a dampener gives reward and no risk (penalty) but the enhancer does?
Your arguments are slightly hypocritical.
Also I got lvl 5 active scanners which further reduces my need to use precision enhancers in my highs

*shiedl tanks are screwed by Flux nades, the semi-OP SCR and the totally OP BAR. being a shiedl tank gives much less reaction time when you get shot, there is no repairer for shields, only armor.. so it only seems fair that shield tankers sacrifice soem of their non existant armor tank for a dampener.. that is if they arnt already useing 2x shield reg, 1 kinkat and a goddamn CPU upgrade because shield tankers are CPU starved!

Shield suits have a decent rep ?? When did this happen, unless you're a scout and can run your ass to cover the delay = death before reps kick in if not then the delay resets once you take damage so I wouldn't even call it a "buffer" if anything armor suits can e-war with a better "buffer" by dual tanking...

Shield suits are not weak... how the hell are they weak? And now this isn't an assumption, something you love to do, I actually use shield suits more than armor suits, and IDK what you mean about 1/2 the EHP when my shield suit actually has MORE if not the same HP as my armor suit.
Armor suits get one shotted by core grenades, I dont see core grenades or flux grenades one shotting my suit. SCR kills armor and shield suits equally fast, and the BAR is a short range weapon stop going against it at short range. Being a shield tank means as soon as your on your armor you should be running away not brawling, then you get a few seconds of downtime and your entire buffer is back. Being an armor tank means you rely on steady repairs to keep you in the fight as long as possible before your brains splatter on the pavement. Based on your completely skewed and idiotic baseless arguments yea shield tanks should get better damps, but if you actually used the damn suits you would realize your completely wrong.
The Ck.0 fit that I posted on the OP is not CPU starved, has a proto wep and a proto eq and is completely dampened and it only has 30 less HP than the comparable Gk.0.

80 reps and 2 sec delay not good enough? Thats what my cal assault has, and that is with one dampaner, with two damps I get the same but 3 sec delay.

All I was saying if my can assault damp it not going to stop a amar or gal from killing me. And it would not help me get away from the either. We can't use per mods because that DMG our tank and range amps are worthless because of how far I have to shoot. Trust me if I could I would avoid amars but the moment a scr or laser hits me I'm dead. The laser kills me then my rail can kill them in most cases. But you are right people could take a different approach to counter there enemy but most times it not easy. If I have to cap a point and there a suit their that counters me I have to fight him. If I run most times you die anyway and get nothing done. I just wish more people think like that in calfw but instead they call in the redline or go hide on a build which is sad I wish there were more people that think like you in this game.

Ehh...
Armor is still preferable for fighting. Shields can "play shadow games and ****", but 1 v 1, armor still has a good advantage for the CQC of control points.
Ewar is only important if you can use that to get into advantageous fighting positions. Like cloaks. Or the hyper speed of scouts. Standard assaults lack the speed for the "extreme flankzzzz" that scouts can pull, especially because, as said before, scouts can go stealth. While shields also have more lows open for speed/ewar slots, you MAY eat into your shield slots for regulators. Which are, VERY, VERY important for shield suits to get good enough regen for frontline combat.

I know personally people who use both gaming computers and consoles and your always going to have strengths and weaknesses in both and most of the top YouTube gamers use both , if you didn't have Atari and companies like Nintendo and Sony , you really wouldn't have the gaming computers that you have now because most of the talent produces for both but people seem not to acknowledge that fact , all they see is Black and White like you mentioned .
This was kind of a stupid statement in it's self and shows bias on your part to make such a broad sweeping statement like such .
You use a gaming computer you have movement exceptions that you just can't get out of a Dual Shock , like the ability to strafe like no one else .
I just feel bad for people that think like the comment that you made because it shows how narrow minded people can really be at times .
Doubts are like flies and should be treated as such and crushed .
