I just skilled into that Core Locus Grenade yesterday. It's amazing. For the longest time that Core Locus seemed to really be the only grenade that take me out. |

They're the after effect of tiering, making weapons only long playing/very paying people could get unreasonably powerful.
All things need a handicap, and by this the stronger the grenade, the less blast radius it should have.
My Isk payout gets lower and lower the more I play, even though I'm getting better. Smells like success.

from what I understand CCP decided to scale them properly a while back, at least you don't see many prototype grenades
but when you do, without a doubt they should be very powerful, at least standard grenades aren't as powerful now.
I think the same tiercide should take place in regards to remotes too, the standard ones are like what the prototype level ones should be.
Either way I can't remember the last time I died to a grenade, I guess you're more suspect to them if you don't expect them however.

The only grenade that are sometimes useful are the Core grenade. They are far from being OP and they need a good buff in radius IMO.
Btw, why REs don't have the damage falloff as much as you get far from them???? (Just as grenade). Grenade shouldn't have this as they only deal 600HP at PROTO. Standard RE does 1250HP and deal them the same way over the 5m radius. CCP's logic strikes again.
Take out all forms of scans and you'll see how great Dust can be.
Scrubs will cry, good players will love it.

You're crazy if you think core nades need a buff, all you have to do is cook them off until the click and chuck it at someones face and it OHKs or badly injures them 75% of the time.

You didnt read the first sentence of my post, read it again.
Then you probably never met me IG as I do kills with Core grenades very often. I know how to use them.
The problem is as I just said:
-You need your target at the exact center of the radius to be efficient so the 6m radius turns into a 2m effectiveness.
-You need proto lvl to be efficient, others will just finish a victim with 10HP or less but never injure it badly.
Most of the thing you'll kill with a grenade are MLT scrubs. If you fight against someone who knows a little about strafing, the explosion won't deal a single damage to him, or just scratch his shield a little.
RE's can be fresbee thrown and explode right after, dealing 1250hp over a full 5m radius without beeing cooked. Your argument is invalid.
Take out all forms of scans and you'll see how great Dust can be.
Scrubs will cry, good players will love it.

-Make Core 500 damage but less PG/CPU (maybe 30/5?)

What's the point of Proto if it's so close to ADV?? It's already not so powerful and deals less than half the damage of the STD Remotes..
Your second proposal is what grenade used to be, and they were usefull at least at ADV lvl.
Now only proto works and they need a radius buff or, better, to have the damage falloff taken out. I don't think it's working properly, and it bugs veeeery often so it shouldn't exist for Locus grenades.
Take out all forms of scans and you'll see how great Dust can be.

My point was: regardless of it's viability, the Cores perform significantly better than the M1s and the gap is irregular to the gap between STD and ADV.
I could go on and on about the pros and cons of any changes to Locus Grenades, so maybe someone should make a thread on it.
Referring to your earlier post: I'm not sure if you're getting some server issues or something, because mine almost always deal full damage if I throw it right. As in, it'll deall full damage even when it's not chucked right at their face. It's possible to have server issues and not even know it because you could be used to it. Example: Watching saxonmish's videos, his victims often die atleast a half a second after he deals the finsihing shot, and he'll occasionally fire more than he needs to. Could just be something with the region.

Core locus deal 750dmg to armor. And smart peopel throw nades when enemy don't have shields.
