I have been using Core grenade for ages, and they really suck compare to what grenades used to be. They bug 1/3 of the time not dealing damages, and when they do, if the target isn't at the exact middle of the radius, the enemy got just a little scratch..
The only grenade that are sometimes useful are the Core grenade. They are far from being OP and they need a good buff in radius IMO.
Btw, why REs don't have the damage falloff as much as you get far from them???? (Just as grenade). Grenade shouldn't have this as they only deal 600HP at PROTO. Standard RE does 1250HP and deal them the same way over the 5m radius. CCP's logic strikes again.
Take out all forms of scans and you'll see how great Dust can be.
Scrubs will cry, good players will love it.

You're crazy if you think core nades need a buff, all you have to do is cook them off until the click and chuck it at someones face and it OHKs or badly injures them 75% of the time. And REs take a pretty long time to toss and detonate. They also don't have the range of a grenade. You didnt read the first sentence of my post, read it again. Then you probably never met me IG as I do kills with Core grenades very often. I know how to use them.
The problem is as I just said: -You need your target at the exact center of the radius to be efficient so the 6m radius turns into a 2m effectiveness. -You need proto lvl to be efficient, others will just finish a victim with 10HP or less but never injure it badly.
Most of the thing you'll kill with a grenade are MLT scrubs. If you fight against someone who knows a little about strafing, the explosion won't deal a single damage to him, or just scratch his shield a little.
RE's can be fresbee thrown and explode right after, dealing 1250hp over a full 5m radius without beeing cooked. Your argument is invalid.

Just some ideas. What's the point of Proto if it's so close to ADV?? It's already not so powerful and deals less than half the damage of the STD Remotes.. Your second proposal is what grenade used to be, and they were usefull at least at ADV lvl.
Now only proto works and they need a radius buff or, better, to have the damage falloff taken out. I don't think it's working properly, and it bugs veeeery often so it shouldn't exist for Locus grenades.
