There aren't many active corps that want to get involved in PC, and they would, in fact, get wiped by the "powers that be" as soon as they get involved.

Since the community we're referring to hasn't the slightest clue about most of what goes on how can we say that?

Because if anyone's talented enough to be involved in PC, we already know them.

I'm sure that there are good players that don't know how to PC or forum, but how can you inform them about it? Troll the public channel? Say "Hey! go to //forums.dust514.com and talk **** to someone in the war room!"

Or "Hey, join chat PC4DUMMIEYZ and I'll explain what PC is and how to enter!"

Not horrible ideas but I'm not going to do it.

Yeah it would be a bit of extra work?! I'm just going to appeal to CCP for a better way than public chat to pull off mass comms with the community. Seeing a lot more mercs on the forums as of late as well so there is a thread of hope there.

There are corps with 700+ members! Mostly Spanish corps for farming, but they'll hit 20 mil sooner than later right? They can't all be garbage..... could they?!

You have to realize that this is a free to play game to most people and if they went and googled anything they'd eventually find 2014 fanfest and Legion, so there's no reason to commit.

What does make people commit is wanting to play with friends. You want more corps in PC? Then go find groups already out there and play together a lot and tell them how cool PC can be when you get involved with everyone else - if they enjoy it they'll work a bit harder to improve to compete for it, which in turn will bring others on board.

As it is it's always the same groups falling a part and reforming that are in PC. When I spoke to a few groups as i jump from one pub squad to the next I get to once in a while entertain them with stories of past PC wars. People find that stuff cool as ****, especially the motivations behind the wars, real people getting after real people and entire planets burning for it.

A lot of us do this - you can thank a lot of the '30 day corps' for bringing in players to the PC community, because there efforts to enter the game bring in more people to fray of our PC universe.
